I'm currently Master Teras Kasi, 441x pikeman and 4xxx doctor and I can't even kill one of the sith guys from the village. I'm not wearing armor (Unless personal shields will cancel the innate armor) and I'm getting hit for 500+ damage a hit!

3 words . . . . Center of Being
its helps so much ![]()
and try to get your group members to coordinate
I'm was CL 54 at the village phase 4 and I did super against Sith . . until 5 started shooting me at once. . .and then knocked me down . . and I was so disoreinted I couldn't get up . . and they kept shooting me . . . and I died ![]()
key is . . don't try to solo, use status affects like intimidate and warcry . . . try to knock them down and keep your chin up.

are you grouped per chance? I was grouped (with usually at least 1 CL80 character) which kinda had a big effect. Since I was considered CL80 at that point I took less damage . . . even though my output was still el crapo.

You need to keep Center of Being up. It won't apply if you are moving, so make sure you are standing still when you click it and keep your hands off the keyboard and mouse until it finishes. If it fails, stand still and keep trying it until it applies. Fighting without COB is equal to having a death wish.

I haven't worked out an exact formula for predicting Combat Level from a list of skills but that doesn't look like it'll make the high 70s at first glance.
TKM + Master Pikeman would be CL 80, as would TKM + Master Doctor.
I would guess the big thing that's catching you is just this Combat Level rubbish. From what I remember, the Sith are in the ranges of level 76-79? As soon as you are up against one that is more than a level or two higher than you you're going to start taking big hits whatever you do
Getting hit for 500 does sound like an awful lot for an even fight. I wouldn't expect to see anything like 500 from an even level opponent (@ CL80), even if I forgot CoB and was knocked down and had Armor Break on me.
Like the other guys have mentioned; if you find that you are under Combat Level 75 then you're going to take these big hits whatever equipment you have and however skillful a player you may be. The only option is to group with a higher level guy (thus bumping your CL up to the same as his).
[Sorry for the crappy answer but the CU has a huge number of areas that haven't been thought through and my guess is that you're trapped in one of them.]

It's the combat level, definetely.
You need a double elite combat mastery to get CL 80, so you'll need to choose either get Master Doctor or Master Pike (or another Master Elite profession) to get your CL 80.
