I know this has been asked but search isnt working. How can you tell if your inate armor is working

Everything I know I learned by killing smart people and eating their brains.

if you're fighting wearing no armor, your combat spam should reflect:

"Baz Nitch hits you for 88 points of damage your innate armor prevented 44 points of dmage."

please don't quote me, but when you review your combat spam in game, you'll see what I mean.

You could try to convince your non-TK friend(s) to remove all armor and try to take on any given mob and see how much damage they're taking compared to how much damage you take against the same mob type/level .

This post is making me question if the mabari belt and ubese shirt is disabling my innate armor. I have never seen an"innate armor prevented.." appear in my combat log.I saw another post(VFAQ) that stated that the mabari belt and ubese do work with innate. Is there something supposed to come out in the combat log?

A small correction... I just logged in andthe combat spam won't say "innate armor" it will just say "armor."

I tested this while fighting NPC's wearing only hotpants...
As reported ubese shirts and mabari belts are not supposed to hinder innate armor so you may want to do some testing on your own.

Also, make sure that in your [control O] menu, under chat, that combat spam is set to verbose, or you will not see any details of why the damage is what it is.

And after you try it with and without the belt and shirt, be sure and come back here let us know the results

As a Master TKA, of that 88 pts I get hit for, how many pts should get prevented? Because looking at my combat spam, it does not seem high enough to me. I thought TKA Inate armor at Master was equivilant to 6000 armor, which I thought was 60% damage reduction.

To get technical, according to the TC equations armor rated at 6000 absorbs about 48% of the damage.

Personally i think that the whole armour system needs to get a revamp. Armor that only prevents 48% by what you said is...well...it could certaintly be higher.

Ive actually noticed sporadic Armor hole while equiped w a one handed weapon. Ive heard soem peopel say TKM armor only works when unarmed or knucks are equiped but I have tested that enough to know its garbage. However i have occasionaly been fighting a mob w two other frieds all TKM but suing non TKM wepaonss (one a pike one a hammer) and i was taking twice as much damge as them while equiped w a fencer weapon.
