Im almost TKM, just need like 30k combat exp. but gaining is sooo slow. Someone told me to use grenades in a fight as they give combat exp, not unarmed exp. How does everyone else gain combat exp, I know just fight everything and youll gain combat exp, but is there a more efficient way. Im not a powergamer, but if its as simple as using grenades in every fight, then Ill have to get more.

What you all think? Any suggections?

Many thanks all...

Ye Old Baz Nitch XP Factory should suit you at your level. One Giant Baz Nitch is worth about 4k (400 combat) solo, but group with a pet or droid: That adds +25% to your XP making a Giant Baz Nitch worth about 5k (500 combat). Each lair will spawnat least9 Giant Baz Nitch (3 to start, 3 on tap and 3 once the lair is down to about half). That means you'll need to clear 7 Giant Baz Nitch lairs. May I be the first to congratulate you on making TKm.

I may have read the latest TC patch notes incorrectly, but didn't it say they were changing combat exp to be 10% of your total DAMAGE done to a target? Right now its 10% ish of the total exp you are getting for a specific type of experience i.e. Rifle, Unarmed etc. Am I correct in this wild proposal? I'll go reread them now. Been taking it easy with TK for a while... folks seem to like my doc side more... must the be fact that I bring people back from the dead or something.. maybe its the mandress (smock) I wear.

10% is correct. And 500 is 10% of 5000.

I thought I knew how combat exp worked, thanks for the reassurance, but this is on the "in testing" section of the main SWG site.... here's the EXACT wording:

"Modified process for granting general combat xp (should always be at least 10% of total combat damage) "

This means.... if I do 7000 damage to some mob, and my friend does the other 3000, I would get 700 combat exp and he would get 300, correct?

So they're shifting it: 10% of damage instead of 10% of exp is your combat exp gained? If this is the case, I would think getting combat exp will be MUCH easier in the coming publish.
