Err. Could somebody please explain in detail the effects of stun and blind? I have seen the term debuff for stun but im not quite sure what that means. And I also think blind makes you unable to do specials but im not 100%. And the guide is no help.

I believe you can do specials while blinded. It just lowers your defense and offense. Stun lowers your offense too I think.

If your TKM I would think you would be able to awnser this yourself. Im very close to TKM and I know. Stun seems to lower attack times of enemies, blind doesnt affect my specials just the chance of landing a hit + makes them land harder it seems...maybe I dunno I havnt really thought about it.

Do some experimenting...use the "search" feature at the bottom of your forum screen...Do something...this is silly.

cool. thanks lobai. and i think somewhere i read a dev comment that dizzy will work for creatures soon. I knew about intimidate and dizzy, just wasnt 100% on blind and stun. I'll have to start using stun a lot more often than intimidate. That intimidate downtime is killer. although i can use intimidate if i have my pistol drawn..

Stun will cut up the actual damage your opponent does (works especially well coupled with a sucessful intimidate); Blind will lower their accuracy so they are either hitting for less each hit or are hitting bout 40% of the time.

Actually if you have KD2 a single hit rarely sticks but if you KD2 and then mash it about 4 more times while they are getting up you do about 600 damage total plus you have a sticking dizzy as the dizzy effect will stack and then greatly increase your chances of making them fall over

I'm reponding to this because I need to realize that not everyone has the work ethic to do things themselves...I need to get over it.

Blind - Makes them miss much more often...there's not been any hard numbers presented...roughly twice as much missing happens based on most people's experiences on these boards.

Stun - Though it says that it makes them skip an action or turn so to speak...it actually halves their damage...or at least bring it considerably down...though tests I've done make it almost exactly half. Again, no hard numbers have been presented to us to date.

Intimidate - Does very much the same thing as Stun does so far. Greatly decreases their damage.

Dizzy - Gives them a chance to KD themselves by changing postures or running. (Typically only works that I've seen on humanoids...in which case works pretty darn well most of the time). Dizzy + Lunge on them is enough to keep most NPCs on their backs the whole fight...beautiful thing that.

The very strength...backbone if you will of the TK profession is our ability to target and be precise with our strikes...we can debuff them to make them hit like sissies or not at all, then target any pool we want to...keep them on their backs and have our way with them (kinky)...we're a profession for the thinker...the strategist...if you're not...you'll suck. If you do...watch out everyone. We're starting to figure this out and developing a name, a reputation, because of it...it's great. Yet you still see people, masters even, that don't know how to use their own profession properly (i.e. the thread about a TKN beating a TKM on the boards now). It's simply a thinking person's tool to be a very scary totem of death on a battlefield.

Good Journey.

ya what LoBai said

btw recently dizzy on NPCs isn't working. the npc's get up and the dizzy just disapears as they get up.
