Thread: Fill me in......some brawling moves aren't working
Unarmed lunge 1 never works for me. Not against people not against creatures.
Berserk better? or Just do unarmed hits couple times?
Warcry always fails
Intimidate......is it worth putting it on when it usually fails at least once and lasts for the time of a berserk?
I use lunge all the time and it works. Not always of course, sometimes it gets resisted and sometimes it gets out of range even when my screen shows 7m away, but it does still work. I haven't touched berserk in months, so not sure about that one. Warcry fails a lot, costs me like 197 HAM, and only puts a delay on their next move. Intimidate doesn't last a long time, but intimidate cuts an enemy's damage by ~50% and costs only 97 HAM. To be honest, I am so used to it failing that I tend to intimidate twice in a row whenever I do use it.
Intimidate works from range, and works on ranged weapon users also. Definitely a useful PvP tool when you are getting kited around.
Buff up, Berserk 2. Put on armor.
Berserk is the cheapest way to dish out damage.
Personally after weighing all the options I decided that Master Brawler was a waste of points. However, to answer one of your questions, YES intimidate is worth using even though it doesn't always work on the first try. I'm suprise after all this time how many TKs still don't know this:
STUN + INTIMIDATE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT COMBO YOU HAVE AS A TK!
Fighting huurton stalkers, for example, (which as yellow to me as a master) without stun + intimidate they hit me for about 150 points to damange, and they do it very quickly. After stun + intimidate they hit be for 20-30. Yes, that's right - almost 10x less damage. There are things I fight that would literally kill me without stun + intimidate. That's just intimidate 1 by the way.
So yes, to start a fight, I open with KD (force of habit I guess) stun, blind and intimidate. If either stun or intimidate don't stick I KEEP DOING IT UNTIL THEY DO. It's that important.
