buildings are your freind. if your enemie is dumb enuf to follow a tkm into a buiding, that idiot deserved to die. always find sumthing to hide behind that your enemie has to get close to you. If you get the jump on them KD2, if they are out of range then lunge away then kd2.

Be sure to have your mind, focus and willpower buffed from a dancer-musician or by spice, food.

Doesn't Lunge have exactly the same strings attached to it as KD (i.e. delay timer for next use)? That's how it seems to work (or not) for me. So although I use lunge while in pvp/duels, I don't rely heavily on it personally. Not only that but it only takes them 1.5 seconds to get up and run again, lol. It just seems to slow them down a little for the moment. I had the Dirty Fighting branch of the Smuggler tree. Well I still have it up to Panic Shot. Low Blow is a KD pistol shot, which was nice for those attempting to kite. However, it failed 1/4 of the time, and typically I've found that by the time I get to them, they get back up and start running again. There's certainly no time to kill them by using Low Blow from my experience. Panic Shot is nice though. It seems to hit a lot of the time, and it delays their actions for a full 10 seconds. Which is twice as long as KD, however they can still move about. At least with Panic Shot, you have the ability to do some damage with no retaliation for 10 seconds, or you have 10 seconds to duck behind a corner or get into a building. It's also pretty funny to have when dueling a marksmen. That's usually the last thing they're expecting from me. And what's so funny is usually they're looking at their combat window thinking, "what the hell?" And next thing they know they're on their backs

IM finally a master TK. I'm doing all the Theme parks that i can, but eventually i will do some PVP. What are strategies for PVP. I know obviously to change my name from TK master to Master scout. But are there any other good ideas from OTHER TK MASTERS. I wnat to rely as little as possible as non TK skills, as i am a ranger. Use this as a post to explain your strategies for different situations in PVP.Maybe if the flamers keep their mouths shut this could be a sort of FAQ for PVP players! (i could only wish)I look forward to reading them and im sure many others also do too! Good luck to all!

Lunge lunge lunge. Even if it doesn't drop them, keep lunging. it's got great range, and now it does damage. No VKs. If you can get in close, i would recommend head hit, as opposed to spamming UH3. and of course, KD + dizzy is nice, if you can get in range. though you will never hear the end of it from whoever you kill....

well im a master doc/tka, so i just use what skills my classes offers. So i buff myself for over 3k health, Action and 2000 in lesser stats=) Next thing i do is go get my mind buffed from a dancer since almost everyone is a bh nowadays and eyeshot, so i buff my mind and use power boost. No i have 4k health and action and 3kmind. Then i go to coronet, best city to pvp in IMO for TK Masters, lots of corners to hide around, max range for range attackers is no more then 40meters in most cases, and can be reduced to 10 for going around a corner. so with your mind that high they dont even bother eyeshotting which is nice.

Next thing i do is lunge lunge lunge, kd2 kd2 since im buffed and this cost me nothing, it also dizzy's while trying to knockdown so i just spam it, and usually it incaps them. Once in a while ill find a doc helping out, so i just mind shot the hell outta the doc, and finally kill him and the rest of everyone.

Pretty nice. Though i think the best pvp class would be TKM//Combat medic just hit ppl with mind poison if they try to run lol, now you can run and theyllbe chasing you lol. I didnt pick up combat medic because too hard to find a decent doc with good buffs like me..... 850base on packs now hehe. with 125 woundtreatment skill, and 110 medical droid.

I hope that helps, but remeber when you wear armor, only wear chest, legs, and helm composite. The rest of the armor is just going to hurt you from encumberance.

If you use a nuclear missle to kill a fly, you won't have one dead fly. You won't have a fly left at all. =)

1) Land intimidate on target as soon asyou can.

2) If you lucky to land KD, follow up with/warcry ( delays all moves ). target will stay down for 10s +

I'm a Master Ranger / almost-Master TKA myself, and my strategy for PvP has been thus:

1) Earn enough FPs to buy gun-toting hirelings.

2) Buy the best probot you can (they're not as awesome as they used to be, but they're still useful).

3) Get some anyone-can-have creature pet that has Knockdown and/or Stunning Attack. It doesn't matter if it's a wussy in all other departments; all he's there for is to chase down your prey for you.

4) Wear energy-resistant armor (and belts) and don't worry about being encumbered. In PvP, you're either fighting or you're dead -- there's not going to be any downtime to worry about healing. Cover yourself completely with armor, even if it's just bone, because you don't want to be shot in a spot without a Light Armor Rating. That's just free damage for them.

5) Get all the stat buffs you can. This goes without saying. Once your Mind pool is as crazy-high as you can get it, then and only then do you /powerboost.

6) DO NOT CHASE AFTER PEOPLE... but STAY MOVING AT ALL TIMES. Let your enemy run around and miss a lot. It'll deplete their pools more efficiently than you trying to hit a moving target.

At this point you have up to five AI-driven buddies harrying your opponent. If your foe ignores them, then he'll be taking their damage at no cost to you and your target will probably be missing you a lot. If you foe ignores you, then you have exactly the situation you want.

I'd lead off with a KD only to give your pets a chance to catch up and/or reposition themselves if needed.

Ok, so here's a different perspective. I'm a TKM and I use no pets, no soldiers, I'm a wookie so no armor, I am looking for good MK3 shields, but haven't found a decent supplier yet.

For Duels: If they are foolish enough to be within 15m as soon as you accept hit lunge and run toward them at same time (If it misses spam it till it lands) hit kd2 as soon as you can (till it lands) spam head hit (hotkey the vk's to put on as soon as the Kd2 lands). I've taken down 3 official bounty hunters from BHG as a mark doing this (and that's forgetting to put on the vk's or my shield)- I lost once because I hit UH3 instead of head hit as a mistake and he was fully buffed. 3-5 hits anyone dies unless mad mind buff is on. Kd keeps em down for 5 seconds so that's plenty of time. And using vk's will negate the effects of them wearing a helmet if they do.

Both lunge and kd have a 30 second timer, but they are on different timers, and the timer only goes into effect when it lands the posture change, not if it misses

If they aren't within 15m use burst, use buildings, use your head and find a way to get within 15 m or closer, if you can't catch em in the very beginning go sneaky on em. But you can use intimidate and warcry from a distance to decrease their damage to you as you find a way to get in range.

I'm part of RAID and as such I go on a lot of raids, confusion is your ally, find someone attacking one of your buddies, lunge, kd2, head hit, db and move on to next target. If you get targeted and there's no cover close by run towards your team. You will drag them into your freinds, they will either break off thier kite fest or die by you teams hand, but don't run all over chasing them, if you can't get the 15 m in the first 2 seconds.

Against other melee'rs you need to be smarter as they have better defence against your melee attacks, especially other TK's. Meaning more hits to finish them off, so after a kd2 hit a dizzy and warcry and commence headhits.

We have to kill fast or die to the kiters, we only get one effective lunge and one effective knockdown, you must finish them before they get up from the kd. If the dizzy doesn't keep them down and you haven't finished them, pray and hope you got their mind down low enough to get maybe one or two more lucky hits in before they kite you to death. Hope this helps a little for TK's without pets and doc buffs (which I love when I can get em)
