from what i've seen they are the ONLY npc that carry them. some people say the brawlers carry them, but i found the elite guard to be a much better harvest.

As was posted above, Nyms are the ONLY source of vibro motors. Good luck finding enough after they were removed from the mission terminals.

I luckily looted (while in a group) an advanced vibro motor from a Nym Brawler last night. It has a max power (or whatever the number is) of 20. . .Is that good?

Why would I need luck, there is a city full of Nyms only a few hundred meters from the Starport. Unless the vibromotors don't drop from those Nyms, is that what you're saying?

Nyms Stronghold spawns about five Nyms every half hour.

No, that is not good, considering ranged users get powerups that not only increase damage by as much as +130, but also reduce speed simultaneously. Unfortunately, +20 is the best melee powerup available.

So comparatively speaking, the advanced motor unit I got blows compared to ranged units.. .but for melee weapons, it is the best I can get. . .that right?

Also, how many units are needed per VK?

No, Nyms are not the only ones who drop motors. Try going to the same planet that you can kill krayt dragons on and look for short guys in robes. There is a tasty beer named after them. They drop a different, but also good kind of advanced vibro motor.

All the ones I found of if them were +10, nothing any higher, didnt think they were that good or even advanced motors.

Could be wrong though still have not had a set of vk's made with them yet.

i was on lok last night couldnt find a **edit** nym camp to save my life /sigh. Gotta love the shatty changes to thyis game.

I've gotten over 10 motors...all +24 damage. Patience is rewarding on Lok.

Jawas drop +10 to min damage, +10 to max damge, -5 to speed advanced motors.
Nyms drop +20 to max damage motors and +24 to max damage motors.

I personally have never seen a +24, but lots of people claim to have them.

Nyms are everywhere on LOK. Try going to imp outpost, cant miss em.
