Once you get to TK I think so. If you are going it alone get some novice medic skill. The grind to that point can be a pain but if you have friends that will take you to advanced planets and let you gack lairs it could go much quicker.

it is fun and has purpose with group dynamics which is also nice...it is not the "I wanna be a kick ass solo player" profession but you do ok solo as long as you have other things to balance a little like medic, CH, or something else. Mostly what i am saying is don't expect to be the king of PvP or PvE but you will do ok as long as you have realistic expectations.

Right Rissen. TKA is probablyone of the funnest professions right now. They seem to have the right combo of strength and weaknesses to make it not to easy like... well... bounty hunter is PvE (sorry only one I could think of). You have to be careful and pick your fights. If you're careless you could be killed by a blue con in a matter of moments. But if your smart you could easyily take one multiple white cons. TKA is NOT a profession to do as your sole profession. You want Medic for sure. And probably something like CH or pistol to back it up.

You could still be killed by a gang of gun toting desert demons (700-1100 hp) if you just run at them swinging your fists. Rule one to melee, NEVER initiate combat with a group of ranged NPCs. Chances are you'll die.

On the other paw a TKA done right or even decent like the TKA/Adv CH/Novice Medic/Composer I did is still able to eviserate up to 4 or 5 stromtroopers if done right.

if your trying to unlock Force sensitive, and it says to work up master dancer, then id suggest that TKA is not exactly the profession you should be going for, if in fact you are trying to unlock FS slot.

Im pretty disapointed about this entire jedi thing. i was interested in perhaps unlocking it, to make a force sensitive chef for buffs for my main charecter...ya laugh all you want, but i just wanted the second charecter.

if that means i have to give up TKA, im not so sure i will want to do that =/

i hate this aspect of the game, that they think part of the exploration of the game is deleting your hard work to scratch and begining again. I like how that i know nothing about armor smithing, and when i talk to a master i seem to learn new things. I really do not want to be a master of every profession, although i know alot about the professions ive played, doesn't mean i think thats fun.

then again woopty doo, just means i wont have a FS charecter /twirl finger.

I'm currently working on the 125k for Novice TK. Right now I have Novice Medic, Unarmed 4, and I'm 3-3-1-4 in CH. Is it really required to be a Master Medic or a Doctor in order to survive? Or is Novice Medic and Stim B's enough?

Is there a certain way to distribute your stats so that you won't NEED to heal as much, or is that just unavoidable in this profession? Either way, I really like TK and I'm sticking with it.

Sorry to hi-jack.
