Thread: TKM...combo attack vs basic attack...WTH

I have /attack mapped to numpad 0 and /comboattack mapped to numpad 3...
I am Master TK and my /attack does more damage then my /comboattack. This is fightin lvl 79 to 82 mobs...
Is this by design or just a bug?
I am using Necrosis Nightblade weapon with a PU and it is 500ish- 800ish min/max dmg.

the combo attack just reports incorrectly, it is actuallly hitting the enemy for 3 times what it shows.

Look at the amount of Health the creature loses as opposed to what the combat log reports or use it in pvp and have the other person report what they are actually losing. You will need to be watching the combat log while they have their character sheet open. You will notice that if Combo attacks reports that it hits for 200, they will lose 600 health in their character sheet. Combo attack hits Head/Body/Legs (i think that's right) so 200 on head + 200 on body + 200 on legs is what actually happens.

How many times week do we need a thread about this?
Forum search is your *friend* people. This has been reported since the day the CU went live... the spam is wrong. Turn on Detailed combat reporting, and read the details, and you will see that all the numbers are irreconcilable. If you watch the HAM bar, the actual amount you are doing will be correct, though... it's more than double the amount you are doing with basic attack.

Uggggh... I hate that. You're right, forum search being "unavailable" is the bane of these forums. Just one more thing about this game that doesn't work right.
Go into options (ctrl-o) and there should be one under either the chat menu or the misc menu (can't remember which) or maybe interface, to turn on detailed combat reporting.
Just beware... it is VERY spammy.

I turned on the verbose combat chat and now combo hit shows as hitting for 1300...

Well as just a TKA master it hits for like 1,000 if I recall... I've got sword as well now so I haven't seen the pure TKA number for a few weeks, but yeah... it's pretty substantial -- it just doesn't show right in the regular combat spam.
I think what is happening is, it's a combo so it multi-hits the target, and only the FIRST hit is being shown in the combat spam unless you turn on the detailed spam option.
