Ive been working on the Force Sensitive unlock quests and was curious about a hybrid. Ive got the Rebel Themepark and 1 Warren Themepark left. Wondering if a TKM/Force Master would be a good hybrid?

Hi there. I posted this on the jedi boards a while back cause some people were also wondering about the same thing.

Ijust finished most of my TKM/Master Powers template... just need to get up to heal 4xxx. I can tell you that it is a lot of fun, choke+lighting is great. Couple that with your TK moves and you can do pretty good damage. In a group, you can play the support role (area intim/stun/lightning/kd) or you can tank with the usual TK CoB. But you will still have to rely mostly on your TK moves and use your powers as a secondary attack.

I also did this template for RP reasons, as I am part of a TK guild and just really like teras kasi a lot. If you have that mindset... to have fun and not to "win", I'm sure that you'll have a blast with this template.

Hope that helps, goodluck bud.

It's supposedly good *today*. However, even if you become FS today and are granted access to the village by the time the next phase starts ( assume a week ), you'll still have a probable minimum of eighteen weeks ( 6 * 3 weeks/phase ) before you can even think of maybe reaching Padawan.

That's a long time to assume there won't be a patch "rebalancing" one or the other, forcing you to re-think your build. And, since you can't even begin to start MP until then, it's little more than a conversation piece until then.

Today TK does seem to be a good starter profession to hybrid with Jedi. The no-armor bonuses work nicely w/ Jedi, good defense, and in general good survivability. It's probably not-so-good against ranged BHs with root, etc., but that's a different problem.

Check this post out. It may help you decide.

There is no change that SOE could make that would not cause people to protest. Whether they are nerfing the overpowered or giving love to the under developed, whether the change is small, or far reaching, someone somewhere will complain, protest, call it a 'slap in the face' and start a petition.

i have a full temp msaber mdef enh0002 heal3000 250/250 jedi. i have always loved tkm. my alt tkm/mbrawler/mdoc who unlocked my jedi pre 9 is now fs. he will become th tkm hybrid. here is his future template.

tkm very close to master defender, has attacks, does not use force for those attacks, great inate armor

defender 0040 adds 500 to range and melee defs AURA,

enh 2002 for run1 and synergy

heal 4000 heals yay

powers 0400 for cloak and mindblast, could go 4000 for lightning , your choice

as you can see, there is alot of potential for a tkm hybrid. the key here is , you wont be usin any force for attacks, unless you go with lightning, for the ooo aaah effect.

Well i talked to an old buddy of mine who did the TKM/Force mastery hybrid and he says the force powers part is nice however being TKM you just dont put out close to the dmg you would if you went saber. Can anyone confirm this? If this is the case ill just be shooting for jedi cause im looking to cause dmg even though i do love TK.

you have to have a lightsaber equiped to use aura

thus aura and center of being cant stack

as cob has to have a melee weapon equiped

so thats not gonna work you wont have 1k defense from the both 500's

I am here to rain on your parade

I am not gonna be nice

Your template is horrible

and you shouldnt suggest it to anyone

Powers cant do anything without Channel force

you dont do anything without channel force

I imagine you fight for 5 minutes run out of force and yell for transfers or you sit down and eat a burger as you watch your force come back for 30 minutes

Powers without channel is the loose

No matter what you all say

But anyway Sorry to be rude man

And gj on completing I've been the template for a while and I realy like it

Master tk master powers 0002 enhancer nov healer

Hi mate, no worries but I just need to clear a few things. Here's the key sentence from my post : "But you will still have to rely mostly on your TK moves and use your powers as a secondary attack."

If you keep to that, you'll see that you can manage your force quite well... specially now that powers got a 50% FC reduction. I never had channel while grinding jedi so I pretty much learned not to rely on channel to manage my force bar.

Oh and one more thing, I can tell you that I can definately fight for more than 5 mins.

Without all your points in jedi disciplines, you simply dont have enough force max or force regen to fight very long...hybrids = teh sux. Unless you do 4400 def...one of the few passive skill modifers that would help you as TKM, assuming you dont use lightsaber. TKM/ 4400 def or even master defender sounds like the only viable hybrid imo.
