I have finished Unarmed IV. I read the Guide to Unarmed.

But I want the Teras Kasi Artists' opinion...

What did YOU do to get to Teras Kasi Novice?

I fought voritor hunters on dant. Mostly because I needed the meat at the time but, they're great xp too.

Unbuffed: Dune Banthas and Desert Eopies.

Buffed: The answer to every single profession's "How do I level?" question -- quenkers.

do low end mission untill you have enough credits to get a stat buff (6-10K) a crate of BE enhanced brandy (+300-420 tp F/W/M) and a round trip ticket to Dathimor outpost on Dathimor. then go almost straight north to the singing clan cave, run past the sisters in the from they can not follow you. Go into the back of the cave to twhere the slaves are and kill them non-stop untill you hit novice or even 1/1/1/1, remembering to loot every corpse... even at only 200 credits the money soon adds up and you get disks and locked containers that are in high demand. it is 400 exp per kill and they spaw at 1/5 seconds so in an hour you get close to 180 kills.. you do the math.

once your 1/1/1/1 move on to Lok to the droid cave (part of the Nym quest) and kill all the pirates there for (500-1K exp per kill) a complet circuit of the cave takes 11 min and you get close to 2K exp, then just keep looping the cave. once you hit 3/3/3/3 then move to Dathimor again and do the Rancor lairs that you can at 18K a mission it more then pays for your buffing brandy habbit and shuttle fares.

in the complete cycle of buffs you can do 5 sets of missions and each kill is 4K-6K at 9 mob's perlair and the lair its self that is close to 350K in 2-2.5 hrs you will be a master in no time

Hurtun howlers love doing those missions, and you can notice how progressivly better you get but how easy you can bring em down with out buffs

Novice Brawler, Master TKA
Profesions given up:
Creature Handler ( ok they nerfed me Graul Maulers so yes im a wuss )
Bounty Hunter (most fun prof in this game and i'll probably go back to it! )
Doctor ( Was a nightmare, no please or thankyous most of the time for free wound heals!)
Commando (was fun, but then got boring hehe)

Just pray they don't nerf the quenkers for fear that they are too easy for people to level on.

I have limited time to play. I went for Architect when the game first came out, so while I know about the game, combat was new to me (EQ veteran that I am). I started with basic n00bie stuff for unarmed I-III, basically just ran missions. It took me abouta week to get Unarmed IV, like I said...Limited time to play, ie about 1hr - 1 1/2hrs a day.

TKN was hell for me. It took me about 3 weeks to get. At about 1/2 way through, I purhcased some 50% Kinetic resist Ubese and never looked back. It made the job 10x easier. I highly recommend it. Also, some nice speed sliced VKs...something with less than 2.0 speed.

As far as what to hunt? Anything. I just planted myself about 1.5k away from theed, and attacked any next I new I could take. The ones that gave the best XP/Easy ratio was probably harvester spiders (I think that's what they are called). They were blue cons, about 400XP a piece, but a single nest would spawn anywhere from 10-20, plus another about 1k for destroying the nest, and there would also be a queen that would spawn when the nest go lower than 25%.
