well you can self buff and cure nasty status effects on yourself wich never is a bad thing. From the CM your geting the ability to use poisens/disease but there are a few problems. (note this is from memory I droped MCM 3 months ago) first only 50 combat med use limits you to B packs for your poisens and I'm not even sure if you could use areaB's with that. its the top end packs that are the killer in the CM arsenal. your range and speed on your packs will also be awful. now true range isnt as much of an issue if youv already knocked down your target and speed is realy only an issue in this case if you need more than 1 throw. you also wont have much CM efectivness so the efectiveness of your meds will be even less. low efectiveness mixed with already weaker packs makes for very inefective poisens. sure they will probably feel the poisens a bit and a disease may piss your opponant off even if they win if they have no way to heal it but IMO CM is like Rifleman, nice skills but only worth the investment if you master.

To sum it up the CM will give you weak packs weaked further by low skills to the point of mearly being a spite move agianst an oponant. Not worth the investment IMO.

edit: just looked around a bit and you can get poisen C's down to 50 med use at the cost of either a bit of power or range as long as you only want single targets, areas are definatly out of your range. however the dammage per tic is (efectiveness rateing * ( 1 + (efectiveness skill /100) sence youll only have a 5 in efectiveness youll be doing only slightly more dammage per tic than is shown on the med.

try this post for more CM poisen info

To Upgrade something implies that you are adding too, enhancing, and fixing the thing that you are upgrading. The CU does not do this, it is not adding too, enhancing, or fixing the combat system that is in place, it is replacing the innovative SWG system with the generic one used by its competitors. Be honest and stop calling it the CU, Call it the CR (combat replacement) instead

Merendel,

I just wanted to thank you for the excellent information and advice. I'm already master doctor so I think I'll stick with that for awhile. Perhaps I'll switch to mcm in the future.

I could be wrong but I seem to recall that MCM + MTK isnt possible with the points avalible. MTK/MD leaves what 8-12 points left over? CM needs the ranged suport line in marksman so its costing another 29 points. given the all or nothing nature of CM it probably wont be useful like that although it will be better than 0/0/0/3. probably you can get about 75% efectiveness out of the meds if you forego the crafting line and master wich might be worth it to you but I cant say.

On another note looking at whats on TC right now doc may become almost all or nothing in regards to buffs with the next patch due to them being changed to a flat rate with a similar equasion as the CM poisens. The difference is that there are ways to boost woundtreatment on docs unlike the CM skills but youll be wanting to squeez every little bit of power out of the packs from the look of it. you may want to take a look at the doc boards the relevent post is stickied.

reply i recommend going tkm 0340doc 0004 cm u lose ressuct. and some wound treat but u get to use aoe and single mind C pack's which are much stronger, this combo only has 1 weakness in that u can't cure poison while fighting, have to run and meditate but other than that it rapes was my old character specc and it took on sometimes up to 6 fully buffed oponenets

toss aoe mind poison and just tank as a tk its ridiculous and nexu grin finish anyone left kd2 others lol

In next publish 7, dabbling doc buffs are going to be waste of time as there will no more be random buffs and master docs will have about twice as effient buffs than novice. So I'd take either mdoc or cm and some skills from doc to heal states perhaps.

I have another toon that is rifles/swords and I wanted something different. Another template that may work is tkm, doc 0440, pistoleer 0030 which I'm told will give me some defense stacking and a way to shoot things that run away .

Although with the pending stacking and doc buffing changes maybe I'm best just leaving it tkm, master doc for now. I know I can always just go buy a buff .. but it so much nicer being able to do it without a trip to coronet.

Doc 0/4/4/0 Smug 0/0/3/0 Master TKA

I am working on this combo for a change of pace.

Doc Buffs will be 2226 after the patch. Thats 865 packs, 110 med droid, 25 BE clothes and 25 from bivoli.

Smuggler gives you Ranged Damage Med 1 and 2. Low Blow for a ranged KD and Feign Death. Also I like slicing locked containers.

MTKA still working on this part. hehe.

Last Setup was

Doc 0/4/4/0 CM 4/0/0/4 Smug 0/0/4/0

This was great for high level PvE. Apply posions and bleeds, feign death. Rinse and Repeat. Killed a good number of Juv Krayts this way, although it was a bit time consuming.

Other toons setups.

Carb 0/4/4/4 BH 4/4/4/0

Not going to go into details , but with buffs and anti-KD foods this is much fun.
