who here would like a book about TKA so this debate and everything can end?

it would explain what tka is


how it is used within the star wars galaxy


and it should finally make us officially part of the EU... I think


they might have to tie it into something else to make it fit thats all I can think of

i think it would be cool to see a tka style book.maybe the main character is a rebel running from the imperial bounties.oh yea aton i think you have made a mistake on your signiture if you have tka surley ur 4/2/1/0 in brawler not 0/2/1/0?? sorry thought i would point that mistake out dude

tk already are part of the EU, maul was a tk, as were a couple jedi masters, and lets not forget the pike sisters,a whole video game based on our fighting style for the ps1,and if im correct ithink luke was eventually trained in the art also.so the whole we arent starwars thing can be blown out the trolls collective asses.

I would SO love a book that set down the history and adventures of TK. A trilogoy would be very satisfying. In fact, last week I was researching TK in books and games for teraskasi.net and was trying to figure out what author might be able to write such a book. Here's some info you might like to know:


Steve Perry (b. 1947) appears to have first mentioned TK in Shadows of the Empire (1996) wherein Zan and Zu Pike are said to be TK masters. Perry also happens to be an ardent martial arts practitioner, particularly an Indonesian martial art called Pentjak Silat in which he says he is a "beginning student" but has been practicing at least since the 1990's. He's even in an instructional video series about the martial art. He's never written anything beyond the one time mention of TK in Shadows as far as I know, but has written other books with martial arts + space tech (Matadora series).Perry would be my first pcik to write a series on TK


MIichael Reaves mentions TK in Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter (2001) in the opening chapter wherein Darth Maul himself uses TK in combat. This is the onlynovel of which I know which mentions TK in associtation with a famous character and goes into any visual description of what TK looks like. Reaves and Perry were known to have shared notes, ideas and borrow minor characters from one another to a small degree. I'm not familiar with Reaves's background in martial arts, but he'd be my second pick for a serieson TK.


One caveat, however: Authors are invited to write Star Wars books, and I don'tknow how effective authors or publishers have been at promoting Star Wars book ideas to Lucas. I do believe, however, that an audience who wants specific Star Wars books may help influence LucasArts in getting the ball rolling in developing a series.


Glad you posted this - I was feeling a bit alone in wanting TK books.

yes Ol we are mentioned and even have a video game about our art


but that doesn't stop morons from crying about our effects on the war and the other abilities we have as Teras Kasi

I have started working on Shadow Hunter pretty good so far


if you have any other books that mention it anyone that would be a big help

I could write one if I were so inclined.. but im working on something not starwars related and its writing itself basicly and halfway written and about 1/10 of the way actually done.. god i hate spell and punctuation checks.. then comes the editing.. then comes the rewriting.. thank god i do it for the love
