Thread: 100% Kinetic Resistance Means What Exactly?
Ok since no one has ill answer your question at 100% def vs. kin and no armor this creature will take 0 dmg from you ,but if you used your light AP VK's you would do a little dmg to this same mob.i dont remember the exact #'s of the ratio for armor pierceing though so you'll have to look that up,but i can tell you that you are wasteing your time on the NS elder because she has heavy armor .

Here took this from another thread this is well explained and gives examples you should be able to apply it to your question.
If you're facing off against someone that's wearing Composite Armor, here's what the guns will be dealing comparatively. I'll use the Scout (AP0), Scatter (AP1), and T21 (AP3)
30% Composite Armor (Total crap, but some people actually wear it)
Scout blaster: 100 damage base, actual damage 35.
Scatter: 100 base damage, actual 70.
T21: 100 base, actual damage 109.
50% Composite Armor (Standard unlayered will be in the 49-54% range on Bria, wearable sliced without buffs)
Scout: 100 base damage, actual 25.
Scatter: 100 Base, actual 50.
T21: 100 base, actual 78
80% Composite Armor (Heavily layered, full suits wearable only with buffs)
Scout: 100 base damage, actual 10.
Scatter: 100 Base, actual 20.
T21: 100 base, actual 31.
So we can see that when a person is wearing composite armor, an AP1 weapon is about 2x as effective as an AP0 weapon, and that an AP3 is about 3x as effective as an AP0.
That means if someone is wearing Composite armor, a 200-500 1.5 FWG5 is equivalent to a 100-250 1.5 Scatter Pistol.
