Thread: A GOOD, BALANCED solution for Knockdown, for all combatants

Step 1.

KD needs to have its slate wiped andput back how it was to begin with before the patch. Now before anyone gets upset, hear me out

Step 2.

I still see most knockdown complaints coming from PvP people, to solve this, EliteandHybrid combat classes ONLY should have skill modifiers for "Defense vs. Knockdown" so that eventually knockdown would only work on a high level player maybe 1 out of 10 times, or 1 out of 20 for a TKM hit by another TKM. High level and Master BH's could have a "Knockdown Resist," or a "Knockdown Dodge" that would make it very hard to knock them down. I think all Elite & Hybrid combatants should have this.

Also some balancing needs to be done with knocking down creatures. As a TKA i should be able to knockdwon almost any npc (becuase thats my specialties!!! im a freakin martial artisist!! uurrr, was...) But i shouldnt be able to knockdown creatures 10 times my size (huf duns anyone?? ) However i should be able to knockdown creatures that are smaller, but still really tough like baz nitches.

Step 3.

TEST TEST TEST TEST TEST, and then test it some more. MAKE SURE that it is balanced for PvP combat and for PvE combat.

we do NOT need a timer or high ham costs for Knockdown, people need to have defenses against it.

why make people weaker, and have the potential to really tick off a lot of customers when you can just makea positive changeby making other professions stronger????

Anyone agree? disagree? im curious about everyones opinions

What's funny is that I don't know of anybody who plays regularly on the TC. What they need to do is to give us our current characters on TC, so we can test out upcoming changes. Or, they need to do something.

I'd honestly be surprised to hear of a TKM on TC, or really any master of an elite profession. TC just hasn't established itself as a server with a lot of players. And, thusly, I don't know how much testing can really go on there.

Just had a tought: in order to get me to play on TC when chilastra was offline, they'd need to give me a good character to work with. A way they could do this is:

-when you log on to the Testcenter, you have no characters available to choose from. You have to create a brand new character. While creating that character, you can just give them skills, up to the normal max of skills you could use with your skill points. i.e. you could go all the way up to TKM, and then go up to Master Carbineer, or whatever you liked. This way, you could test stuff out, and you'd have all the skills you'd need in order to do so. Crafters could purchase materials from the bazaars (they'd be free) that kind of thing. Just so you can test, and not have to endure the pain which is grinding.

-now, when you logged out, or the server went down, anything that would cause you to lose connection, the character you created would be deleted and if you wanted to test again you'd have to create a new character. This way TC would be a server for testing, but not greifing and uber characters.

Just a few thoughts. hopefully something will be done with test center to make it friendlier.
