First off, if you ever duel a marksmen, don't ever start it from farther than 5 meters or so away, and if you issue the challenge stay close, and have /endduel pretyped incase they burst run away, so you can stop it before they start it. Ok with that said lets continue.

No VK should be equipped at this point. Use unarmed lunge right away, then immediatly use dizzy, if for some reason you miss or didnt manage to stay close, then do unarmed lunge again. If you started from 5 meters or less this should be no problem. If you connect with dizzy, simply unarmed lunge once again. The fight is basically over, when they try to stand again they usually fall down. Yet unlike knockdown, they cant get up for a LONG time. Some swordsman who was started fights on dantooine couldnt get a fight, so i accepted, granted it wasnt a ranged user but still he thought he was gonna take me down. Instead of unarmed lunge i will try and start with knockdown, it has high ham cost yes but if you only have to do it once to pull off dizzy and another lunge then its no problem. The guy never hit me, i hurt myself more doing specials on him than he hurt me without them. I personally think the combination of dizzy/lunge is more powerful than knockdown due the the downtime. The swordsman never got up. Once he fell down i just equiped my knuckler and went to town on his helpless body.

This works well PvE also. If i was able to get a Mokk Soothsayer 1 on 1, i would use knockdown (without VK equipped) then once i connected and he fell i would dizzy, then when he got up, i would lunge. He would be knocked down and once again i could requip my VK and go to town. Bam 3.5k xp. Spamming knockdown was an effective way to earn xp and pvp but it is not feasable now. Dizzy is great. if you dont believe me then i challenge you to go test my theory a few times.

i agree totally! ive never been a huge fan of knockdown....but of course i used it. Now with dizzy and lunge (the best melee move ever) i NEVER loose a duel. Make them challenge me, get within 15m, hit lunge > dizzy > lunge and its over man. TKA's, while not the best class.....are far from broken!

Wow! I how do youbreath on mars!

I did not know there was oxygen on mars?

There has to be oxygen on mars because you would have to be living on mars to make a statment like the one you just made!

A now useless TKA,

Maybe its just me, but my experience shows that lunge + dizzy ONLY works on PCs. I have NEVER gotten an npc or creature to fall knocked down from standing up. Ever. And believe me, I've tried.

However, in PvP, I have actually done this successfully many times. You can actually dizzy, lunge, then end the duel and sit down and stare at them for a few minutes, and they'll never get up.

Too bad I need to level up to get to good PvP, which I can't do being that lunge + dizzy has no effect on comp controlled chars

Great, keep using it and it will get nerfed. If this really works for you, I recommend you never use it in town, and only use it on peoepl you really, really trust! If you ever use it in public, it will get demolished in the snext days patch! Dont believe me? Wait a week!
