Thread: A possible solution to kiting

I think that a person looking over his shoulder and firing his blaster at me, can't possibly be looking at where he is going. Therefore, they should have a reasonable chance to trip and fall. This would give us a chance to catch up with them and kill them. As it stands, once they start kiting us, we are dead.

I also think certain terrains should make it more likely for someone to trip. For example, a rocky landscape would make it more likely a kiter would trip, stumble and fall.

What do you think?

nice idea....face it Melee will never be on the same lvl are Marxmen...

Never get a chance to hit anyone....

I dont care where u are....we run at them and lose 80% ham then get in 1 hit before death..

DEVS something has to level the playing field....

Maybe a TKA mind trick to lure them into a 2 foot closet so we can fight them ???

Forget about kiting. When was the last time you saw a Kung Fu movie where the "TKA" could beat the guy with the gun without disarming him?

Maybe TKA should get:

  1. some kind of disarm move or something that would disarm the gun for like10 or15 secs.

  2. an action attack that reduces run speed

  3. a flying kick move that ends in a knockdown

  4. get some kind of thrown weapon with a short range (15m)

Well, I think random knockdowns would be pretty frustrating for long-range types. I'd rather see some sort of variance in run speeds, like a +10 run speed modifier at TK novice.

Hmm, people talk about wanting a tackle move, maybe it could be a variation of Knockdown. You'd get 3 seconds of burst run followed by an attempted KD. With the new changes to knockdown moves, I don't think this would be overly powerful, but just enough to get us a few seconds of pummel time every now and then.
