Howdy all,

I'm thinking about dumping my dancing skills to pick up a ranged profession. I'm considering Master Pistoleer, Carbineer, or Rifleman. Anyone got advice or comments on which of these you think best complements TKM?

I finally decided that rather than chasing down my opponent, I'll just pull out something to blast them with. I suppose commando is also a possibility, but that would be a little harder on the skillpoints.

As I understand it, rifles don't really give you much more range than a pistol, are slower DPS, make you take more damage if hit with melee, but can target mind pool.

I'll go read in the marksman forum, but would love to hear your advice.

This isn't so much to escape the nerf is it is to try something new with my character.

Heh, yeah probably commando or rifleman. And the best title for this thread would be "What ranged profession best makes my TKM skills completely obsolete"

Please nerf TKA's! I just one hit incap'd myself again with knockdown!

I picked up Pistols after I got frustrated with the large nerf patch.I got it since the pistoleer'sspecial attack (bodyshot, healthshot)works to complent my most used TKAspecials thatwork on the sameHAM pool.

I also got medic skills (up to pharm3 for well experimented stim c use) and CH novice for added help since I really, really wanted full supportformy TKA profession.

To tell you the truth,I had fun playing shoot 'em up, but I'm not going to take Pistoleer tomastery,I have played enough FPS to get tired of the same oldrun and gun thing.Heck I'll play that when Half Life 2 comes out, but not here with all the other options. But Pistoleer would be my recommendation in the weapons classes if you choose that route.

For myself,I am thinking oftaking CH or Doctor skills to their masteries.I talked to a master TKA/Doctor and he is able to buff himself and likes exploring and hunting "suped up". Also I have a guild bud who loves being a master CH/TKA and I may follow that route.

Anyways, try it out for yourself and see how you like it. You can always untrain.

I have not failed. Ive just found ten thousand ways that wont work.

This is easy become a pokemon master

My professions are as such (after i finish one more skill box)

Teras Kasi Master, Master Creature Handler (minus the empathy branch), novice medic (unfortunately a must) and carbineer up to carbineer knockdown.

Not only can i use my pets to distract my oponents pets, (faction and creature) but i can use my carbineer knockdown if they start getting too far for me to catch. Then once they are flat on their back that gives me 5 seconds, more than enough time to close in and unarmedhit3 them for an instant incap IF needs be i can also use my fast pets to quickly maul my escaping foe.

Creature Handler all the way bud

Don't go rifleman unless you have the points for master.

But have no fear! If you insure you get radiation protection on your items. The problem with that tho is that it only protects 99% of your items integrity."
