No, this guy is giving up because the patch screwed him over. The patch might have screwed some people over but so what? Look at commandos - they are so powerful now, but until this patch they were about the most worthless combat class ever. So, those who did not give up got their reward today..
They are going to keen nerfing and unnerfing. Sure, they throw balance in particular thingsoff by certain nerfs sometimes -but overall the balance is slowely moving towards ideal I would say.
Ralphie Koster is a complete moron. I am TOTALLY convince he does not play the game, especialy as a Teras. This stupid fool has turned this game into a first shooter game. If he wants to compete with Counter Strike as a first shooter game he is going to lose. Counter Strike is MUCH faster game to play and you get plenty of kill time. And If you play on servers that have admins they kick the cheaters as soon as they reveal themselves.
SOE has not only lost my business ( I am closing my accouint and my nephews)and I fully intend to tell people NOT to play anything by SOE because they just keep screwing up the game. And to think I was thinking about buying EQ shortly after this game first came out because I liked it so much. No way in hell will I ever play anything run by SOE ever again.

I'm ashamed that I stooped to even respond to these kinds of posts.
Let's pick apart that first post shall we and find the similarities to a child throwing a tantrum about not getting the candy he wants in the checkout line...just for fun:

FerretLlama: Screw the dmg upgrade. Screw the timer on lunge when we depend on it.
Child: I HATE the candy we already have at home! I want THIS candy!
FerretLlama: If you would have take the time and fix the problems of effects of lunge/knockdown stacking. We would not need this stupid timer.
Child: (What the child really is saying) If you would give me what I want now, when I want it, I will stop crying and be quiet for you.
FerretLlama, I'm being rather harsh here, but when one is caught in truth that doesn't want to see it, the truth seems harsh. If you were a rare, beautiful species of bird in a rainforest somewhere that...you'd be extinct. Seriously, if you don't like something, stop doing it. Sorry you invested time into a class you felt was great until a change came along, but that just means that you weren't really suited for that class and you need to move on. I have no sympathy for you. I have only contempt for your kind that whine and people that are in charge that listen to you and give you what you want to shut up in the checkout line. Thankfully, the DEVs are strict parents and though not nearly perfect, let you scream till you're red in the face and ashamed of yourself when you get home from the grocery store.

Vampro = Lives in a fantasy world, with his fantasy girlfriend, cybering in the backrooms of cantenas as if no one can hear the emotes. Makes statements such as wife and lover, the girlfriend is an obsession head case.
This is no one to look up to in my opinion. Time to buy a better life at K Mart. I dont understand how someone looks up and idolizes losers like this.
