Hey, I currently have my char working towards master TKA and CH, but I dunno if having a pet to tank or just mastering doc would be better/funner. I like how powerful I am w/ doc buffs plus the heals would be nice. Pet tanks are just too unreliable and dumb it seems. I soon wont be able to use my graul mauler w/ the patch, but I dont think it's that great anyways. I mean, it's a very nice tank but I just fought a named npc that was wearing jedi robe and had med armor plus I think 80% resists so I figured it was a force npc. I had the graul tank it and to be fair, I was a little too close to the 2nd npc and it turned on the graul too, but w/ a gun. Anyways, the mauler went down real quick and I had to bail. I love to solo....ya, mmo but play a few years before you throw the 'but it's an mmo!!' line around hehe. Waaaaaay to much time wasted on getting groups together and having them fall apart because folks bail after 5 min.

Anyways, I do like to group when I can get a good one so I was just thinkin TKA/Doc just looks better both for grouping and pvp. The only question is what it's like to solo w/ one. Could you take an npc like the one I described above? I use it as an example because that's the baddest npc I thinkI should be able to solo once I get master in 2 elites. Basically I dont want to group to hunt for 'crons, been ninja looted once to many times as well lol. Thanks

yea, i agree, wih the recent changes to ch, i would place my bet on doc

but then again, we can only wait until the next patch comes out

I personally prefer to purchase my buffs - that includes Doc, Dancer, and Musician. Even with the upcoming CH changes, I still find greater versatility in pets as damage buffers for PvE and PvP. Also, in PvP, I don't worry about HA (I'm a Medic)...it's the M that gets me every time.
