It is taking forever to get Novice Teras Kasi and I do crap damage (about 180 with beserk) and I think they should make VK an unarmed 4 certification, what does everyone else think?

I'm doing the same thing as the original poster, and I have been doing so since Novice TKA. The trick is to find some chitin armor with 66% kinetic resists , or just get your hands on a rock beetle. THEN, you stand about 70m back from the lair, go unarmed, and start attacking one of the critters (yes from 70m away.) The one that you DON'T attack will aggro on you and attack, so when it gets about 45m away, send in the beetle, stand right behind the beetle, and go to work. Medic skill definitely a must. Rinse and repeat.

I /agree, Vibro Knucklers should be an uarmed 4 certification.

Well in my opinion it is too easy to get to master tka, so making it more simple is imhydao not the right way to go.

And I think they shouldn't....

I didn't have a choice, I started the first day and it was a few weeks before the master weaponsmiths even bothered to care about us brawler types.They still crap on us brawlers , handing the just barely ok weapons now. Charging us only 30 times the price of the components, really if you didn't know , it's maybe a 100 units of resources possibly, some maybe a little rare. Not like the quanity of rare resources that weapons rare need. Go to any weaponsmith on any server and you'll see the best VK's within 5 damage mpoints max, then look at the damage variation onthe ranged weapons, all the many types of ranged weapons per those professions, it's much greater.

Having a 200+ pair of VK's at 4th box or even the novice box, beginning brawler box I'm talking about.

We orginal TK's had half the ua damage bonus as start UA players do now, andsome of usmade it up1/3 up intothe tk boxesmaster without themmost times .

So suck it up , you're got it sOoOo much easier nowit's sickening.

I'd love to see the VK cert be in the second striking box atleast.

This isn't a godly ranged easy a ss profession there is a reason it's harder the the others , because when you make it up the trees it means you earned it, not like the rest of the dam n game.

No 150+ damage -3 speed krayt tissue/power handlesexploitable items dropping for us, if we're lucky we can buy a few +20 high powered vibro cores, like that compares and I find it disgusting tha

No kiting , no perching( there is alot of that actaully ), no brawler weapon exploits, none of the brawlertypes even had the choice, and it's odd to me that none aren'tmentioning that these thingsonthe boards.

We the brawlers are the only decent honest players in this exploit ridden game, we doidn't even have a choice =(. We are clean pure players.I feel.

You can use VK w/o certification. Get a nice unsliced pair that's 2.1 or 2.2 speed (damage and speed are related, so it's likely going to have good damage as well). Go get it speed sliced and hope for at least 25%+. You'll end up with a nice 1.5/1.6 speed VK. Now...

Land your debuffs, equip the VK, hit berserk and lay waste to white/yellow mobs. Your base damage (combat spam) will drop, since you're not certified but the combination of light AP and faster swing speed will result in more overall damage (floaty numbers). You'll fly through UA4 in no time flat.

Join a hunt party on the advanced planets. I recommend Dathomir. Get in a group that has a doctor and/or combat medic that can buff and revive. On Dathomir do Kamurith missions. You'll get great XP per kill and have them let you do the majority of the damage on the lair...can average around 4k per lair. In 2 nights I got the XP I needed to in 1H, 2H, and P level 4 boxes to get up to Master Brawler. I was already at TKA 0101 so I was concentrating on the other melee classes. One of my guildmates got around half the level 4 box of UA leveled on one of the hunt trips as well, using a set of VK with 2.1 speed.

I swear by VK"s myself since I hit the unarmed III box. I almost always use them.

End resut is my normal output of 180 dmg gets knocked down to 150, but I'm hitting twice as fast

So for every non-vk 180 shot I can land 2 - 150 vk shots..

I can guess your not a novice tk yet or you woudnt say this.When youare novice tk you are REALLY more powerful then before.You hit between 400 to 500 every sec and with unarm hit 2 you do 1k in 1 shot.Go to novice was meant to be hard and will always be.If they made vk certificate in the unarmed 4 box it would really be too easy to get to novice and there youll also gain a huge amount of damage.They would be overpowered and too many would complain about tk.Result:Tk get nerfed and all the tk complains.
