I'm using most of my points in Marksman, Chef, Pistoleer, and Smuggler (going to be a bootlegger), but since Unarmed 4 is a pre-req for Smuggler, is it worth learning novice TKA to use Vibroknucklers? If I'm doing around 80 points with no knuckler, and 150 with bezerk... will the vibro knuckers and the additional TKA unarmed bonuses at novice really improve that?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Also at TKA novice you get quite a big step in unarmed damage, so this also makes a big difference to the damage you can deal with or without VK's.

Yea it is.Before i got novice tera kasi i was doing 90 and with berserk 200.Now with unarmed hit 2 (you get it when you get novice tera kasi)i do 1k in one shot.Without special hit i do around 400 damage without berserk but it also depends on you vk.I personnalyt think it is worth it.

+40 to unarmed damage at novice.. WOW that is a big step, plus add in the VK's, the increase to unarmed speed.... The jump to novice is rather dramatic.

It should be though... grinding out that 120k in TKA novice xp blows. Will be nice to become a TKA and at least get decent xp from my kills without having others simply "wait" on me.

Wow - thanks for all the quick feedback. The 120K experience required is what is making me question if I should progress up that route, but I'm convinced now .

1000 points of damage you say? Sweet....

I'm not a power gamer, so I'll make it there in a couple of months....

Thanks all!

During the unarmed brawler tree climb, it's a long road without vks. When you get that last 125,000 and achieve TKA, you have a much easier road with vks equipped.

Then you'll get Master Power Techniques and chances are you'll not be using them at all. I don't use them anymore (3/4/4/3 currently) and I can chain specials all year...

I bought a set of VK's while grinding up unarmed 4, and novice. You will attack faster, and do less damage, but over time. The speed makes up for it. Once you hit novice TKA. The damage boost is a tremendous pay off, and well worth time it takes in my opinion. Plus, for the most part things only get better as you progress.
