My plan is to master TKA, and also Squad leader. Anyone else try out this combo yet, and have any hints, tips, suggestions, or comments otherwise?

i had SL and tkm and sl sucks so i surrendered it

sorry to give you the old let down, maybe you might find it fun, but they are losing alot of people in that profession, for a good reason.

Hmm guess I should visit that profession board and see what's up.

It's just it never fails that the group I end up with, I seem to be the only one that steps up to lead and properly organize the group. Was thinking hell I might as well go Squad Leader.....Then at least I'll get xp for my "extra" effort

I heard that profession is very messed up. Not exactly sure on it since I never played it though heh. But good luck with that and it doesn't sound like a half bad combination if it actually worked(assuming that it doesn't).

Yeah I keep having this thought of standing behind my gunners, sending them onto kill stuff, then I'll run around "supporting"..... (taking agro off people, stim heals, SL specials of course)

Valkari can you PLZ tell me why it sucks?I am now a tk and a sl and when i check the sl forums they all say it sucks,they shouldnt had tooked that path or surrender their old skill for that one ect...I just becomed a novice sl and I am now a 0/1/0/0.Just wanted to know if i should stop right here or continue to give it a try cause everybody i know,saw on forum... and that is a squad leader seems to say it sucks.

Well i have seen no improvements to the class since i surrendered it, but when i had it

the only usefull skill out of the entire skill was Rally. It costs high amounts of mind to use, and sucessfull or not always took the mind damage from you. It would fail on average 3 for every one sucess leaving somone with 1000 mind 500 after a sucessfully rally.

the added insult on top of this, was that it seems SL is a PVE only profession, because rally doesn't absorb anything in pvp, just pve.

the range and melee mods only alter your targets accuracy, but it doesn't go bleow a minimum cap. that emans +35 to each is useless if you have somthing like TK, because people have mimiums to hit you, and thats somewere around 30novis 75 master

Also the cure effects thing is handy, but then again who cares when you can be a doctor, and then buff yourself too.

volly fire is pretty stupid aswell because its just a gimick, infact the entire profession is one giant gimick. nothing about it is really allt hat usefull and wortht he poitns you sink into that profession.

According to bug reports, SL xp was reduced to 1/10th what it was pre-patch. It's a bug that the devs are trying to fix. SLs have the highest XP per skill of all the classes. Most SL commands don't work correctly. That's why it sucks. It MIGHT get better though...
