Thread: Your top 5 Teras Kasi issues Week 2
Maybe we could knock the gun out of their hands Jackie Chan style? Unarmed Disarm they could call it and it would be only for really high up on TK. It would make their weapon unusable for lets say 10-15 seconds? That would realistically solve the kiting problem rather than drasticly nerf the marksman accuracy while running. When Jackie Chan gets attacked by guys with guns he merely kicks it out of their hands when he gets close. Obviously he would be dead if the guy pulled out an uzi at 20 meters so in pvp we need to be crafty and hide behind stuff (which means they SHOULDNT be able to shoot through walls and the ground, what a horribly unacceptable bug) and when we get close disarm him and beat the crap out of him. Just an idea? I know marksman would flip out about this but common they are talking about how "real" it is for a guy with a gun to beat a melee fighter and I'm willing to accept that. But alsorealistically a kick to the face would cause him to drop his gun or at least SEVERELY reduce his accuracy.

RAdiant TK novice/pistoleer novice
(until they help us TKs out the best way to combat a guy wiht a guy is to trick him into thinking ur a marksman and start the duel up close and unload on him. When he runs away take out your gun and finish him off. Its a pain in the ars to get pistoleer but it helpsa TON)
What about Warcry? everyone is saying lunge, or make the ranged people have a bigger problem with accuracy while moving. Why not just make Warcry work. It's supposed to stop the mob/NPC/Player/Enemy from running away. It even says "You make whoever stop in their tracks!" but they keep on running.
Fix /Warcry Ranged opponents will stop running away so easily.
I still think toughness should work against ranged attacks in reducing damage. I also think we should have some type of range knockdown. For example Bolos (two small weights with a wire attached between them) that could be thrown at an enemy to wrap up his/her legs. Or maybe some type of throwing stars for TKA that can knock an opponent of their feet. And of course the other defense that are broken right now is an issues but I am sure they are aware of that one and working on it. It would be nice if we didn't have to get some type of range knockdown from a different class just so we could be effective in PvP or even PvE where they use only range. As it is now you pretty much have to have a way to range knockdown if you want to melee. Poison throwing stars would also be nice for a kind of melee bleeding attack and maybe poison throwing knives for other melee...I am sure they can think of something more inventive but I am just trying to give ideas.

Krul {Master TKA, some in Creature Handler, and some in Carbineer (only because I need a way to range knockdown)}
I had my first taste of a large epic PvP battle between Imperials and Rebels today.
My only major disappointment (besides being knockeddown repeatedly like a punching bag) was the Follow Command which functioned poorly.
When I followed my opponent (with& without burst run) and he stopped running, everytime I would stop outside of attack range. The few seconds that it takes to correct this manually was enough time for my enemy to be off and running in a different direction without me getting a hit in.
It would be nice if SWG also offered a Stick Command (that allows for following closer ala DAoC) that would keep a brawler within attackrange once he caught up to his opponent.
shinji when you hit something that is chasing you is an auto counter.. wanna test it.. have a buddy shoot you while you are in range the moment he shoots you you hit him back.. that is a counter strike...
as fas as scout exp man.. when you tell me something i dont know because im **edit** near ch master now.. then ill listen..
All i do when im not grinding skills is pvp in cantinas on the bria server im notorious for it.. and IM TELLIN YA YOU CANNOT HIT A PLAYER ON THE RUN OR A MOB FOR THAT MATTER
try again man...
and as far as lunge works.. yeah it works on mobs that arent creatures... on creatures it has no effect.. and on players forget it its a useless skill..
now back to the counter strike...
notice how little damage you do...
thats the counter strike.. unarmed without vk's i can hit for roughly 200-250 damage counter strikes are somewhere in the neighborhood of 20-50 damage add about 300 damage with vks and add another 100 to the counterstrike with vk's
now lets do some math
a good pistol can do anywhere from 100-500 damage easy
a pistol spamming nothing but healthwound2 500-1500 possibly more with the chance to wound.. although its almost a guaranteed bleed shot
now everytime you are hit with this blaster and you are in range with vk's you are doing next to nothing as far as damage while you have been kited to your doom
so there is your proof grab a friend in game and test then come back and apologize for calling me and everyone else that says ya cant a liar
1) Up the resists. ( defense vs. knockdown, range defense)
2) Resists to Bleed/Disease/Posion badly needed.
3) Bleed styles for melee. Having bleed style would open up alot more room for tactics in PvP as a melee. With good set of armor and Mk31-2 shot kills will be highly unlikely in PvP.One way to punish range users for letting melee get in range.
4) Force of Will needs some love. Would be nice to have enough HAM for atleast one style attack when you get up.
5) Would love to see some kind of Self-only damage absorbtion buff. 10-15 sec, just enough to find some cover or close the distance on still target. Would really help for large PvP battles, most of the time you dont even make 1/3 the distance to enemy group.

Master TK
Dizzy + Lunge = Mob that falls back down
Dizzy + KD = NOTHING...dizzy + knockdown is not working, now that KD ham cost have been upped its very important that Dizzy + KD works as well as Dizzy + Lunge..

it YOU are chasing something, they can hit YOU--but you can't hit them unless you're ranged or you're an NPC.
the discrepancy between what you see and what the server sees is a big part of it. there's a built in cushion to make up for this, but that cushion isn't in the brawler's favor.
