Heh, old thread getting resurrected...
I'd prefer NOT to see TKAs get tons of specialty defensive skills. Many of these wouldn't make sense; Block, for example, is something we shouldn't get, because what exactly are we blocking WITH?
Anyway, we don't really need them. TKAs get higher Toughness and Melee/Ranged Defense than any of the other Brawler professions, to make up for the lack of a Block/Counterattack skill. This is "A Good Thing"(tm), in my mind, IF those stats mean enough. I'm not saying that we don't need some improvement, but our lack of those skills isn't a huge disadvantage. The fact that the Block/Evade/Counterattack skills were recently bumped up probably means our Toughness and Defense should be upgraded too.
Instead of just adding more Unarmed Toughness boosts, though, it'd be nice if they made Meditate more useful by adding more things for it to do. Right now, the only "advanced" Meditate skills are at boxes 2 and 4, so why not add two more? Throw in some defensive skills that scale with your meditation skill, and you're set. After all, /powerboost is offensive, and /forceofwill is only useful AFTER you get incapped.
/regenerate (Meditate 1): increases HAM regeneration speed by (meditation skill)%. No HAM cost, obviously. Better yet, have it only regenerate Health and Action, so it ends up draining your Mind.
/stoneskin (Meditate 3): all damage you would take is reduced by (med skill)%, but you can't run and your attack speed is slowed by the same amount and there's a slow HAM drain. By the time you get to Master this makes you basically invulnerable for short durations.
/speedboost (Master): increase run speed by (med skill)%, with a good HAM drain.
Stuff like that. Combat-related skills, primarily defensive, that other classes don't get. Of course, too many of these and you infringe on Jedi territory.

I dont think we should get a lot, but a leg strike attack to slow and enemy down to keep them from running is something that we need. Some natural armor would be good, we are supposed to be hardend pieces of fleshy steel after all
