Ok, I'm still typing the post for the Corre forums but I've just been looking at the skill tree blurbs & it looks like we might have been fixed up a bit.

Going on the power boost blurb it may now be a power boost, not a HAM one.

Combo Attack no longer claims to hit all three pools, so if someone could check the damage output on it I would be greatful, I can't check for a couple more hours (when I can respec back to TKA).

Level 67 - Master TKA, Pistoteer-in-Training

These may have been addressed, but here's my two cents:

1)mediatate does the same as sitting in healing speed - and can only be performed via the sit/meditate combo on a flat surface (already posted)

2)power boost does nothing

3) I have no muti-person attacks, my old bread and butter, that's cool but I would like it to change.

4) My offence is so weak, I can't even solo a Level 60 Wortt on Tat without getting my *** handed to me. = read 7 levels below me. - Bria outside Mos Espa

5) If innate armor works, then I'm glad I got the pistolteer to get some recon, because the recon crushes the Innate at the moment.


Thoughts:
Just a thought, is the only way to have fun with TKA to respec out of it (then root and beat them up PvP)? It seems the stronger my character is in any field the harder it is to kill anything. i pity the jedi, who must be crying a river at this unsettling. I like the mix up in fighting style, but are there any more attacks coming to us? Before(old style) I spammed three or four attacks, now all I got is the brawler attacks. So from 4->2 seems like a step backwards.

Inate armor is weak


Dizzy/Knockdown combo doesnt work because the target gets up before you can hit him with your most damaging attack.


My old Vibro Knucklers do 200-400dmg. Mostly 200-250dmg. Bare handed is almost the same.


I take tons of damage


Im having difficulty fighting Lesser Bols. Lesser Bols for crying out loud!. I have trouble fighting everything I used to fight easily before. Pickets, Bols, Quenkers, etc.


I have to rest after killing 1 mob. If I get surrounded, I get incapped. Arent I supposed to be a tank?


It takes forever to do a cheap 5k credit mission on dantooine.


Mission payouts have dropped way to much. Pickets are around 5-6k payout on a Job Market town. Mokk/Dantari/Kunga missions are about the same. I can make money faster by taking Artisan Survey missions.


This is horrible.

I would like to second what was said about COB. I'm not sure what the devs intentions were for it, but you have to be perfectly still to get it to work, otherwise you have to recast it. Once you have it up, it seems to mitigate considerable damage-- I am a lvl 80 tkm and can take plenty of hits from multiple lvl 81s while pulling them to a group, if and only if I have COB up. It would be nice to be able to click COB at any point and have it stick.


Force of Will is also screwed up. It says " you regain consciousness with marginal grogginess", etc, but it essentially incaps you again for up to 50 seconds.


Power Boost does nothing whatsoever.


The specials are pretty useless. Weapons are useless.


Some serious fixes are needed here-- let's just hope for them.

Been testing a lot today. From time to time, COB absolutely will not stick, even if I am perfectly still. I click the special icon and as it executes it, the button seems to be pressed again and cancels the COB. Relogged and still doesn't work. For some reason, it fixed itself.


Definitely something going wrong there.

TKM / Master Commando ...LvL 80


I was tanking for a group, that included 5 other people the other night. I was only incapped twice and found the Innate Armor to work just fine.


The problem that I had was with "Taunt". I could taunt one creature and the timer seemed to take almost 30 seconds to refresh. By the time it was at half, or 10 to 15 seconds, the creature had moved on from me and started incapping my group. How can I tank, when I can't even keep the creature focused on me? Is anyone else having this problem with Taunting?


My other question? Does a PSG count as armor and therefore negate Innate Armor?

1) FoW has never worked, only adds more time to incap


2) Power Boost has worked everytime for me. +600 each time


3) KD. While hunting with my guild i discovered that all the players who had kd , had to use it constantly. The mobs always seemed to target the weaker players, so the tanks had to kd them, and let the ranged take them out. This may be the thought behind KD, seeing how soe wants this to be a team game. After you use KDyou may not be able to land another hit, but the other players should have landed several each.


4) I checked my stats(ctrl + C) with my vk, and without. my stats went up with out my vk. like from +40 to +75. something like that.

- Innate TKA armor works great, just respec'd to TKM/MPike and tanked 2 super battle droids and a ghost in the DWB simultaneously ...
but you need to put on improved CoB, never forget that skill

(check if you got armor boots or gloves, they currently bug the innate armor although they have no armor stats)

- Power Boost needs some tries to work properly (sometimes up to 7-8 tries till the buff applies)

- FoW is currently useless in PvE as all mobs do instant DB's

tip o the day: go to dwb for doin xp, its great, unarmed+combat xp cap in about 50 mins (cap`'s 1.200.000 atm )

I agree taunt does not work.


It only works in melee range which is pointless and when you do taunt a MOB it only takes 1 hit from a damage dealer to break the taunt.


I also agree FoW does not work and CoB isnt as easy to use as maybe it should be.


The other thing which I have a problem with (although this is a master brawler skill) is defensive reposte. You have to be in melee range to activate this, maybe I am misunderstanding what this skill is supposed to do right enough.

Combo Attack:


Anybody else noticing that Combo Attack does 1/3 the damage of your normal attack? I understand how/why Dizzy Attack and Leg Sweep do far less damage...but Combo Attack in my opinion should do more damage then a standard punch/kick attack. I'm only low level TKA, but right now here is what is going on...


Melee Strike - 350 damage


Dizzy Strike - 150 damage (makes sense)


Leg Sweep - 130 damage (also makes sense)


Combo Attack - 115 damage (this makes NO SENSE, why less damage? Isn't this supposed to be an advanced damage attack?)



Also, Innate armor is working for me...not sure why its not working for a lot of you. Center of Being is NECESSARY. I was getting hit by some level 20 mob for 250 damage. I used center of being and was being hit for only 48-52 damage. This is what makes TKA a tank I believe.



Also, i'm sure others have posted about this...but does anybody know when Equilibrium for Zabraks may be fixed? It actually decreases your health now

2 bugs I just noticed:

I could not get powerboost to work (seems like thats already been addressed)

Recently CoB will not work for me either. I tried in combat, and had the creature knocked down and was watching my combat log. I did nothing at all, and was not hit.. didnt work

Here is what I've noticed in all incarnations of TK-ism.



1.) Innate armor will not work at all if you have any sort of armor or armor related item.


IE: Ubese Shirts, armor belts, armor gloves, armor boots and armor hats. If you got any article of clothing that came from an armorsmith, then it will bug out the Innate Armor as it counts these as "armor". I know in my inventory window, all of my armor equipment/clothes is shaded a different color than everything else.


Remedy: Fight buck nekkid or wear just tailor made clothes.



2.) Meditate Powerboost and Force of Will.


You must now sit before Meditating, must wait about 3-5 seconds before Powerboosting for it to work effectively. You can hear a faint cancel or player window close noise if Powerboost fails. It is very very faint. Force of Will has not worked for me at all. Tried 10+ times in PvP duels and PvE combat. Failed all times and had 50 seconds added to my unconcious timer.



3.) Teras Kasi weapons of choice.


Vibro Knucklers should be considered garbage and obsolete goods. If you are going to use any TK weapon, use either your bare knuckles (faster action regeneration) or use a CU weapons such as the Blaster Fist. When I fight I switch between the two when my action bar starts getting low. The damage is very noticeable. I do like 2 - 3 times more damage, and the Blaster Fist raises your attacks speed. I never got my hands on a Massassi Knuckler or Razor Knuckler yet.



4.) Teras Kasi Skills.


It seems that the Combo attack is still set for the old system BUT it only truly hits the Health pool. This skill shouldbe fixed to either


A.) Do more damage than what it is currently doing.


B.) Do damage to all three pools like it did pre-CU. Of course since it seems that NPCmobs never tire out in the action bar, this would be a mostly PVP based skill.


5.) Center Of Being.


Center of Being works wonders to trully allow some tremendous tanking. BUT it is not working the way that SOE describes it.


(Teras Kasi is supposed to be a tanking class that "EVADES" damage.)


All the COB does is decrease the amount of damage overall that we take. It alsoactivatescorrectly when you are completely not moving at all. If you are running you have tostop to activate the COB. You must wait at least 5 seconds before it will work correctly.



6.) The Teras Kasi Role


Teras Kasi is a shadow of what is used to be. If you make a strictly Teras Kasi character, I have found that you will be spanked over and over again in any type of combat unless you pick up more than one combat class. I've found these to work the best.


a.) First skill tree in Doctors. The bacta infusion and other healing skills work hand in hand with using COB.


b.) Creature Handler. It gives you basically a strong "bleed". Since it seems that most things in PvE attack whatever is dealing the most Damage Per Second (I tested this out and it is found to be true) I wouldn't count on those pets to tank for you. Unless that one pet does more DPS than you do (^_^).


c.) Get 0-0-3-4 in Swordsman. The advanced armor break helps to pile on the damage and is a great group asset. Critical Strike is also a nice skill as it does more damage than the Melee Strike, and gives you a decent change at pulling off double damage. Also, the skill mods in these branches are Melee Defense, Ranged Defense, and General Melee Accuracy. These will help as well since us Teras Kasi Artist can't hit worth a bean sometimes. Pre-Curb we had the highest accuracy of any class and was the only class that could defeat the "stacker". I wouldn't touch the other tree's as it has swordsman accuracy and defense.



Overall though, us TKA's need some good ole loving. It feel as we are 1 of the 2 red-headed step children ofin thisgame.
