It could, it very well could. I'm not against the idea. I think it would be interesting for TK Artists to become an integral part in the SWG organic system.
My problem was that, Mr_Heavy told us that the developers needed "real" aka cannon sources as to why TKAs should be made more powerful and fulfill a more exclusive role of "Jedi Watchers" than the bounty hunters. People have been using non-cannon sources as a means of evidence, but, well, they don't count. Now, if the developers want to go ahead and implement the idea anyway despite the overall lack of mention of the TK discipline, I won't stop them
Darth Maul was not one of the Bunduki however he was trained in the arts of Teras kasi. Recently I came across a site which has documented key moments from the earliest years of the Star Wars universe reaching back to the first battles between the Light side and the Dark and before the Sith order first started their rules of 'one master, one apprentice' This is a page which should be of great interest for Teras Kasi fans as well as people interested in the pre-republic universe. One thing to note here is that the Teras Kasi are indeed Dark Jedi hunters or rather part of their order has that role. Try to remember though that the whole art of TK isn't about combat, its about spiritual balance between mind and body. A peaceful art designed with higher morals and stricter training than the Jedi.

i didn't see a single shred of supported evidence. I also happen to know that most of what's posted in there is simply not cannon.
if a website says it it must be true right?
Why do so many people that play SWG insist on cannon/lucas (deranged old man now)running their imagination for them? Isn't that what role playing games are? Something to use your own imagination for.
Hell, lets take Episode 1 for instance
1.) Jar Jar Binks, Replace this character with a badass wookie TKM that even Maul was scared of and the movie would have been some whatcool.
2.) R2-D2 and C3P0 shouldn't of even been in that movie. (to many coinsidences)
3.) Mitechlorians (spelling?) pffft.. please
4.) Anikin blowing up the droid control tower... yea that was neat.
5.) The announcer at the POD race wasa cheap 2-headed'Daytona 500' knockoff. The aliens that participated were kind of, well, for lack of a better word 'lame'.
6.) The whole movie was the cheesiest star wars product to date.
Nevermind i'm gonna end my rant.

His reply on this was that there are no real detailed LFL-approved sources for into the history and origins of TK. What we do know of TK is from the PS1 video game, and some other supplements that mention it only in passing. I've shown him the fanmade history online about the Bunduki, etc. and he pretty much dismissed most of it.
Here's why: Apparently there is only one reference to this in one of the Star Wars EU encyclopedias. It is intimated that perhaps at one point, the Order of Teras Kasi Warriors kept the Jedi in check. But again, this is all mentioned only in passing.
It seems that perhaps in SWG, some overzealous folks may have taken this to the extreme. True, Vader may have employed the services of TKMs other than Arden Lynn to do his dirty work in regards to Jedi, but since there is no LFL approved sources on this, I'd have to say that the Devs will (or should) never allow TKMs to become Jedi Hunters in Galaxies. As much as I think it would be cool to go "toe-to-toe" with Jedi, as a TKM myself.
The 3 main "LFL approved" facts regarding TK in the EU are:
That the words "Teras Kasi" literally mean "Steel Hands"
It is a deadly martial art
Darth Vader employed the services of Arden Lynn, a TKM at some point circa Empire Strikes Back, to track down Luke Skywalker, and his friends.
That's about it...Now, even if TKMs at one point did hunt Jedi, one could easily argue that just because they did so in the past, they don't do it today.
Case in point: "IRL, During the Qing Dynasty, when Manchurian rulers oppressed China, revolutionary fighting systems sprung up to challenge Qing armies with guerilla-type warfare. Because the Manchurians were Buddhists and declared Buddhist institutions off limits to their own armies and warfare, many revolutionary fighters took refuge in Buddhist temples and monasteries. After the conflict, when the Manchurians were defeated, these revolutionaries continued to teach their martial arts under family names and became known as Shaolin martial arts."
Now, try and argue that Modern Day practicioners of Shaolin Kung Fu have taken up their art to develop guerilla tactics against oppressive rulers...it just doesn't work. So...same logic applies to Teras Kasi.
My appologies if I sound a little overintellectual on this. I've just done quite a bit of thinking on this, because I happen to have invested a lot of time in the paper and pen RPG, too. I just thought I'd share what I learned...I hope its helpful.
And yes, I am an EU afficionado, and I play SWG religiously. Even if other people don't roleplay within EU parameters, it doesn't spoil my fun. I don't let it.
The most indepth information about the teras kasi can be found in the Shadows of the empire source book since there were two characters in that novel caleld Zu and Zan Pike that were assassins for the Black Sun who were Bunduki themselves but left the Palawan Order in order to seek profit using thier skills. Dark Teras Kasi if you want to call them that.
