Nope it was Corbantis, they were doing a test ofa differentserver setup or location,somethinglike that. Never checked it out myself was busy on Ahazi at the time.
To the other guy, the vk didn't have a cert then correct but then none were making vk's either at first so was hardly a benefit in the first few weeks.Also the vk that I did get after 2-3 weeks into the game, had max damage of 104 or less, took WS awhile tolearncrafting and get factories and the better resources too.

Bloodfin was up for less than a day. Corbantis was the third real server. Well, actually at one point there were 2 Brias, this was before Ahazi though.

He claimed (rightly so) that while in the Senate he was in a group that took the lead in funding civilian applications of ARPAnet (DARPAnet I can't remember is the D is in there or not).
Without such finding, the internet as you know it would not exist.

I'm going to say something that might be taken offencively but I'm not trying to be rude or disrespect anyone but I have to call BS on something. I have been playing since launch and started grinding TKA about a week after the game launched when I reached novice....I have had a set of VK since I started grinding any of the unarmed tree. I had a set all the way through master brawler and all the way through TKM. There is no way that you who are saying it is because of you that we have VK's are telling the truth because they have been there since launch

Note that Al Gore didn't join the Senate until 1977. DARPANet was founded 8 years earlier, and it was the beginning of the Internet. Al Gore's statement was self-serving garbage, and while it was twisted a bit unfairly to make it look like he claimed to single-handedly create the Internet, what he actually said wasn't much better. In fact, even if you gave him the best benefit of the doubt and say that he meant that he helped popularize mainstream use of the Internet, even that is a lie since there is no record of him ever sponsoring a bill or pushing a piece of legistlation to support the Internet or World Wide Web.
Anyways, that's old news, as is Mr. Gore. Getting back on topic, yes it was true that VKs existed prior to launch of the game. Note that Konik wasn't even in the beta (according to the list of beta players published by SOE). Also, I was in Beta since phase 2 and was very active on the boards where things were being discussed and developed, and I don't remember any of the people he mentioned. It's pretty clear that Konik was discredited in this thread and made a fool of himself, let's just let this thread die already.

The first TK's didnt involve you or your guild, think back to beta 1...You or your guild had nothing to do with VK's...VK's were in early beta also. It was a Dev's Idea. Your gloating is not appreciated. There were FOUR original TK's consisting of myself, Icefalkon, Jenii'ca and Cloud on this very server, waaaaaay back early in beta. Just a useful piece of information.

From a new person to SWG's point of view. ( Me )
When I first started playing the game in the 14 day trial about a month ago.. I had no idea what I was doing. I decided to stick with my deep love of hitting the crap out of people with my fists and go up the Unarmed 1-4 path in brawler. I thought Teras Kasi looked cool, and I thoughttt it would be a unique and unused profession, since I was about as lethal as a smooshed pillow when I was grinding Unarmed 1-4.
So after 3 days of non-stop grinding, I finally achieved novice TKA!!!
I felt proud of myself and I actually was able to kill alot of stuff in PvE

In summary, I think 181gcWC or whatever, makes somewhat of a point, but not a very good one. The proffession is overused by people who just grind it because it is good. But there are also alot of people that don't even care about the damage or defensive bonuses, and just like hitting the **** out of things, like me.
And hell to you, I like ninjas

and yes we were responsible for the introduction of VK's into the game as a combat balance to leveling TKA in PvE and also Force of will in its current incarnation.

yeah i agree. do not say you are the first because no one has any idea nor can keep track of every player. just say you mastered very early. That way we dont have people thinking they are gods and they own the damn profession.
