I believe the intent is to disallow entry into private buildings while TEF'd. So you can't go anywhere that someone else couldn't follow you.

My dictionary says that means " all melee players will not only get kill like the **edit**in bugs they are, but will now walk bow legged from being raped all the time" SOE=SOB

Here is the issue laid out a little more fully...

The TEF building patch was initially intended to thwart the -private- building abuse that was going on.

Lay a private building next to enemy faction base - destroy all base defense with no risk.

Drop a private house in the middle of combat - instant security zone from the fight... etc.

However, the patch affected -all- buildings or "interior" zones. Thus we've been locked out of all public structures, cities, dungeons when you gain TEF.

When TEF is gained it automatically kicks you out and locks you out.

Examples: Covert heals an Overt (TEF is gained from healing an Overt faction member) Medic is kicked out of the med center.

Someone shoots at someone else in the Cantina. (Both parties randomly kicked out of the building exits).

Someone begins fighting at a Starport. They are locked in the ship bay area and unable to go anywhere. Sort of nice play to ambush people for melee's (limited running room) but I've never been a big fan of load killing or camping Starports/Shuttleports.

I experienced a big issue earlier in the day... unbeknownst to me the patch affected all buildings. As a combat medic I ran into the AH tavern to hit an Overt who had run inside to hide (Before we engaged in combat he saw me and ran). I entered and AoE'd him and the 4 other overts inside... We were then all kicked outside the door (I got stuck in the door for about 10 seconds) It also randomly ejected the medics and entertainers who had tef from healing Overt faction members.

Right now the system is incredibly bugged and you basically have to play the outside structures for los advantage...

... so until they repatch the patch be warned and be aware of the issue. Also TEFs are now on 5 minute timers... so when in doubt go sit down somewhere for 5 minutes and then you should be clear and free to walk back into structures... unless of course you engage in anything that would garner any sort of TEF period... then you get to wait another 5 minutes at least.
