The movies simply don't have enough content to base a MMORPG on. A game that stuck strictly to canon and nothing else would frankly suck big time.
Wha?....Not enough content?? Lol, what movies did you watch? If your own imagination is insufficient to see all thegreat possibilities, then there arehundreds of forum posts with trulyfantastic ideas on how they could have made a Star Wars MMORPG actually based on Star Wars themes and characters.
Instead, theydecided to throw in all oftheout-of-place "fantasy-land" archetypes - the Monk (TKM), the Warrior (Swordsman/Fencer/Pikeman), the Mage (CM), the Ranger, the Cleric, etc, etc, etc.
Laziness, lack of creativity, rehashed EQ characters, and utter failure to stay within the bounds of a popular, well-established fictional world is what"sucks big time".

Using the momentum of the forward thrust, Maul dived over the collapsing droid before him, flowing smoothly into a shoulder roll. He came up twirling his lightsaber overhead, then stepped down solidly into the teräs käsi wide stance called Riding Bantha.
Maul dived again, rolled up in a half twist into the forraderi stance, ready to spring in any direction.
Maul spun on his right foot and shot his left leg out in a powerful side kick, slamming his boot into the droid's armored chest, stopping it cold. He dropped into a squat, spun the lightsaber like a scythe, and sickled the droid cleanly at the knees. Lower legs gone, it collapsed as Maul again twisted himself and his weapon, flowing into the form known as Rancor Rising. He brought the right blade up between Chain's mechanical thighs, hard, using his leg muscles to augment the strike as he pushed up from the squat to a standing position. The force of his strike bisected Chain from its crotch right through the top of its head.

We are Necromancers darnit!!!
And yes there is a bit of lack in creativity in class application. Melee are sort of a necessity in the game. Can you imagine a carbineer/pistoleer/medichaving to be the group tankin the DWB all of the time?

Some form of unarmed combat training is given to Clone Troopers in AOTC. They can be seen drilling in the background as Obi-Wan is touring the Kamino facility.
Whether it's TK or not is a different matter, but it's no stretch of the imagination to believe that the form exists.
Although AOTC isn't "proper Star Wars"so it may not count...

If I had to guess they were probably training in theEchani fighting style.
