Thread: TKM OVERPOWERED? AN HONEST LOOK BASED ON THE GENRE OF THE STAR WARS UNIVERSE
Um okay-read my original post please. I at no time said nerf. What I said was that tkms SHOULD rule at close range. I actually advocated that they should have complete mastery there. The real life informationwas thrown in for some point of referance. You know I have played Dand d and in the society for creative anachronism for a long long time, and frankly i get sick of people saying ' its fantasy , real life dosent matter ' well you know what-it isnt fantasy. We are playing a game-i can touch it when i load the cd- i see it pop up on my screen-I can manipulate it-and i sure as hall can pay the bill every month. It is a debatable topic-and in that situation you need steering points of referance to anchor that debate. Please re read my initial post. I am not advocating any nerf or damage to your beloved tk class. what I am advocating is a balancing of the game.
As far as the boxer rebellion-again you make my point for me- projectile weapons defeat martial artists -in real life as well as in star wars-and one of the most amusing scenes in another lucas classic raiders.. the star wars genere clearly builds upon the idiea that jedi can defelect blasters and defeat ranged weapons at distance. JEDI-tkm is not supposed to be anywhere near jedi- Read the darth maul books-he is a tkm-but he does not reflect blaster bolts with his feet. Tkm should own at short didtances. burst run can be used to effect the closing of space and hitting an opponent. almost all tks say that if we played our classes better we would win. In some cases that is true, but in the majority it is a simple unbalancing of the game, I would love to see what would happen if the devs actually made tkm require player skill as well as spamming macros for kd dizzy. thata ll I have to say. honestly it is just not worth my time to keep on about it.
i am not taking you comments as an attack lol. I am just done with what I have to say-I see a lot of replies that contain nerfer tirades. I am not a nerfer-I just am expressing my opinion as a martial artist-real life combat vet-star wars nut and honest lover of this game. I was simply making observations and sharing my opinion. If i had all the answers I guess i would really be the know it all i think I am sometimes

And he was referring to the fact that in the Expanded Universe their purpose is to monitor Jedi actions and prevent any major war starting between the lightside and darkside.
Also, as mentioned, there is a TKM in the movies, most notably, Darth Maul.
yea but what we need is a TKM(By this I mean a true TKM not a sith part TKM) TO show up in a Star Wars movie then maybe they will all shut up
please lets get Teras Kasi into one of the movies

Otzysk|||Jastor you use the word liar alot-you should use some other ones out of the dictionary. Look-people like you are the reaseon we cant have reasonable discussions here. READ my posts-I said that only 1 of the flames probably hit hit. People-read the posts before you flame. Understand them-dont take this as a personal attack-like calling someone you dont even know a liar.
