Thread: TKM too strong or not strong enough.

I have though Teras Kasi was good in itself, it's juat the equipment that was weak. I recently posted on this fact. Teras Kasi have uncomparible speed. When I was master, there was a constant stream of damage numbers, preoblem was, I was lucky if they did over 1500 damage.


Teras Kasi have no weapons that are any good. They do nearly no damage. But this is the only flaw I can find, but I do belive it is a flaw that needs to be resolved...

You are going to be very very dissapointed if thats what you beleive.

As for TKM, it is overpowered if you compare it to pistoleer or carbineer, or even pikeman , if you remove the looted dot weapons from the equation.

However, that is more to do with the broken state of those professions rather than any uberness of tkm.But that is the point of view of people who play those proffs, and why the nerf tk threads used to be so common.

I would suggest to anyone who thinks otherwise, get on the next frog server and try those professions.It really is an eye opener.

TKM has poor state defences, and people complain, but that is a balance to the high offensive power and , of course, powerboost, a unique skill to tkm , that would for sure have to be removed for balance if state defenses on a par with pistoleer etc were added.

I prefer Powerboost, simply because its cool

The biggest downfall of TKM is Armour penetration, and the ludicrous 100% kinetic resist mobs out there.

It would seem AP is going away come the curb, which makes things much better for high end stuff from instantly, and hopefully with all mobs being rebalanced with us 100% resists will be just a painful memory too.

My testcenter chatacter is a tkm/master swords, and for the record, I very rarely use a hammer. Not because fists are better, but because its more fun combat than spamming headhit3.

So TK is the best melee prof, because its the most fun, not the most uber.
