You are correct... they monitored the Jedi and their activities, and if confronting a Knight it took a group of TKA's to do it. The fact that a TKM can take on a Jedi Knight 1 on 1 is just another way that SOE has broken the system.

And on a side note... TKA were hunted down even more-so than the Jedi were in this time period. You really think the Emporer and Vadar would tolerate any organization who's sole purpose was in fighting against them?

All that is wrong.
No credible EU source mentions anything about Jedi being monitored by TKAs. In fact, some Jedi were TKAs.
As for the Empire being opposed to TKAs... Also incorrect. The Empire employed TKAs, as a matter of fact TKM Arden Lyn was hired as an assassin to take out key Rebel leaders, and then there was the Pike sisters...

Sorry man, but somewhere between the exploited sabers, the stuck up attitudes, the exploiting of BH droids, the ganking of overts in starports, and the Jedi Fight Clubs, the Jedi lost the respect of many players.
I know not all Jedi do such things, but the ones that do eclipse the innocent ones in scope and taint their profession.

I thought that TKA's were force sensative, but chose not to become jedi.

Monday night I was out with a BH/Pistoleer and a CM/Rifleman cruising for jedi. The one the BH has a mission for is on Dathomir out by the village. We truck out there, see and start chasing him.
The BH caught up to him and killed right before he got to the starport. Instead of trying to fight, the Jedi tried logging out, but didn't make it before bit the dust. He logs back in later on telling the BH that he is going try and get us all banned. The rifleman and I didn't even get to aggro the jedi.
Later on when we actually get a mission that wasn't intentionally being bugged by it's jedi, we travel out to Dantooine and find him in a private cantina running out the visbility timer. A couple others were in the same cantina. We cancelled any mission that the tracking droid reported as Dantooine.
After a night of experiencing what the BH's have to deal with, I have absolutely no sympathy for anyone who chooses to grind jedi, gets on the terms and gets hosed by a BH.

Arden Lynn was blackmailed not hired.
and the pike sisters, well they like beating up stormtroopers...

TKM's SHOULD BE ABLE TO TAKE ON JEDI KNIGHTS
Glad i got your attention. I feel this way as:
1) I read somewhere (it was not fan fiction it was an interview about the swg itself with a dev) that TK are "watchers of the jedi" and dont say im wrong cuz im not, i just cant remember the link tho.. which suxs.i fell that ustkm's are there to keep the jedis in check should they abuse their powers.
2) I for one can own jedis, even when they have a 500 polearm saber... althought i admit that it is a very difficult fight, but not impossible. thiscould bebecause I am a stacked to the brim with defenses. Now, i did quite abit of levelling up to get the template i currently have, and i feel because of the effort i put in, i should be able to fight against jedis. now here come the "well jedis do alot more levelling up than you ever will so they should be stronger" reply. yep true, they do have a hardtime levelling up, but why should they be stronger?. if we're using the argument that "well jedis are supposed to be the strongest warriors in the galaxy" dont you think think that a warrior who has studied unarmed combat styles, 1 handed combat, 2 handed combat,polearm combat AND whohas forcesenstive combat skillswould be a master of combat ne way and thusthus should be a formidable oppoenent; even for a jedi?
3) in relation to people saying "jedis should be basically invunerable" there not, no1 is. even a jedi with formidable skills with his/her saber, with his/her force powers, can still be overcome and defeated if their concentration slips away from what is going on around them. if they lose their focus, then they can be killed. i even have an example of one, from the old officialstar wars magazine? did ne1 else collect that? or was it just me hehe. ne way there is a story about a jedi being overwhelemd by a thug because of him losing his concentration. so you cant say it hasnt happened before. well you can say that, but i wont listen to you.
i dont really have ne thing more to say, im just tired of jedis flaming us TKM's for kicing there sorry ass. I have no respect for Jedis as you can tell, and many people dont have ne respect for me amongst the jedi community. But i can stand up proud and say i am a TKM, a warrior who will fight the Jedis wherever they stand. to finish im gonna tell you a little story just to show you why i dont respect jedis...
Once upon a time i was mastering CH... i went to one of the caves on dantooine to solo mokks/jants... cant remember which cave it was, ne way.. i arrived at the entrance with a friend and my pet, and we were about to head into the cave... now a jedi showed up and said "you might aswell go, im gonna be clearning this place out" i sighed and said "ok" so i made my pet follow and guard the jedi so i still got exp. all was going good, getting exp quite quickly, and then to my suprise suddenly my pet started taking a beating, he was holding up alright of course cuz he was a v strong pet... but he couldnt last much longer. ne way i burst ran down into the cave to "save" my pet... and to my amazement, i saw 3 shamans, a db'ed jedi on the floor, and my pet frantically clawing away at one of the shamans. now imo that sums up the jedi's... arrogant, and weak.

I may sound arrogant, but i just hope that the TKM communnity agree with me on this one. If not i apologise to my fellow tk masters, but this is just what I believe.

Yes, you *are* wrong. You completely made that up. You can't "remember the link" because it doesn't exist.
As for complaints about TKMs beating up Jedi, my answer to any complaints about combat issues is to wait for the Combat Upgrade, your problems might be solved at that point.
