Yup. Innate armor is just as broken as the rest of it. Would rely on sythesteak but at 30sec a pop why bother.

Those having problems it must be a clothing related thing or something that is equipped. I did check this tonight and wearing a muscle shirt, BE anti-stun/melee def camos, hide boots, freelancer bandolier my innate armor was working properly and absorbing about 1/2 the damage, that was unarmed and with a PH equiped. I had to turn on verbose to check it but it is indeed working at least on Bria.

I’ve had an interesting little situation tonight.

Wearing only clothing, my TK innate armour worked fine, could see it working fine in my verbose combat spam. It’s been working fine since CU went live.

So tonight I decided to test out ubese shirts and mabari belts, see if they affected TIA. So first of all I put on the ubese shirt… and TIA continued working fine. Next fight, I added the mabari belt and still, TIA continued working fine.

Obviously I’m somewhat happy at this stage, but decide to add a ‘control’ to my experiment, and so I put on a pair of ubese bracers I use mainly for fashion purposes, and see what happens. There, that broke it. TIA no longer worked.

Neither ubese shirts nor mabari belts have armour properties, where for example ubese bracers do, so “fair enough” I thought, and then took all of them off and just had my clothes on.

Got in to a new fight about 10 minutes later, and noticed my TIA wasn’t working. Odd I thought, so I checked my inventory, and sure enough I’m just wearing clothes. Proper clothes-clothes too, no armour-clothing, just plain clothes.

So I strip down to my shorts, and go get into another fight. Still no TIA.

Weird, so I log out the game, give it 10 minutes, and log back in, and… still no TIA.

Here I sit in-game, several hours later now, having been incapp’d in friendly PvP, incapp’d in PvE, in and out the game several times, and butt naked I’ve no TIA anymore.

And yet, I’m sitting here watching guildies PvP in our dojo, and all but one of the TK’s have their TIA working. The other TK who’s got the same issue as me, had some padded armour pants and belt on earlier.

So I’m getting the distinct feeling, if you put armour on… it breaks your TIA (as we all know it does), but it seems even taking off the armour won’t turn your TIA back on.

I’m sure this is a bug, and sure my TIA will return, but it’s been several hours and several game-restarts, and I’m not getting anywhere fast. Perhaps it’ll fix at the next server restart.

I think some of the people who are experiencing no-TIA, may have had armour on in the recent past, and are in the same situation as my guildy and me.

Sheez, if equipping any armor at all screws up TIA even when you take the stuff off again...that's a definite bug, and needs to be squashed ASAP!

Now I'm hoping the comp I reconfigured to bone armor and then put on just to see how it looked didn't screw up my TIA for days and days, I've stopped even carrying armor with me when I go out hunting...who needs the extra space lost in your backpack if you're better off unarmored...

The good news is this fixed itself about 5-6 hours after posting, and suddenly my TIA started working again. As if by magic.

Ubese shirts, and mabari belts, are still safe, and do not interfere with TIA at all.

Last I checked, I can also now put on other armour, proper armour, and take it off again and my TIA returns instantly.

Madness, bugs, and stuff that I’m sure will get ironed out in time.

Cheers for the heads up on this. I had stoped following this thread for a couple of days & kept meaning to come back to it. Intresting I noticed that it seems to be an issue with other things, on a character earlier I equiped a riffle, unequiped it & found I was still geting the movement hinderence for it.

I'll make sure it's brought up in my next issues thread. I'd be really greatful if you could post it in to my stickie on TKA bugs.

I've noticed Mankind, that inate armor seems to still work when I am weilding a stun baton(which doesn't go against the description). I was wondering if this would help out grinding jedi, having +60 armor from paddy would be nice. I know this works with melee weapons equiped, any idea if they made it work like that as well for lightsabers?

This definetly works while playing as a jedi. I've confirmed this throughout several bh encounters. +60 armor + psg = roughly 67% ranged energy resitance. Guess who won those encounters?

My innate armor was working while I was using my rifle.. ? roughly 48-51% damage absorbed from both melee and ranged attacks.

Nice find SlimRafe. Ive read so many conflicting reports on TIA i have no idea what to believe now, but with all the things weve seen in the cu i would not be surprised at all if what you say is whats happening. Itd certainly explain why so many people are having problems with it. Ill go try exactally what you did right now

**EDIT**

Well ive spent the last hour or so testing all this and writing all my results in the message edit box. When i clicked submit it went to an authication error page, when i hit back all my work for the last hour was gone ;_; I know better than to do that but hell, i just wasnt thinking i guess.

To sum it all up, Power Hammers dont kill TIA, Tusken Helms do kill TIA (boots, robe, bando, gloves dont), armor kills TIA, putting armor on and then taking it off doesnt kill TIA (for me). Glad i seen this post and decided to test it for myself, theres no way in hell im dropping tk now, sucks though cause i like my Tusken outfit

Far's I know, there's no problem about innate armor and weapons, just armor. It works fine on live now with my powerhammer equipped (if it didn't, I'd've been krayt chow), and on test before I decided for sure I was dropping Commando it worked wonderfully while carrying a flamethrower or a rocket launcher.
