Haha, love the one star. What... someone scared to duel without armor?![]()
You ask?
I very rarely start duels. About 3 times I've done it because there was a solid RP reason to do so, and each time I gave the idiot chances to back off. I don't wear my TKM tag, and I don't carry knucks around town. Frequently the misconception that I will fight with the weapon in my hand is enough to secure victory.
They challenge, I quietly click on follow, ready my knucks and accept. I kd2, with a dizzy for good measure in case the first missed. Spam uahit3, check for group TEF's, deliver deathblow, walk away.
In real life, I frequenly have to tell my students 'this is a tournament technique, but if you get in this situation outside of the dojo, do this and take out an eye'. Fighting duels or otherwise is the real deal. Play to win, because failure is death. Leave your concepts of 'dishonorable' for memorial services. One other thing, what you term 'dishonorable' is more aptly put at 'not fun'. No, it's no fun for you to spend a fight on your back. It's lame, and it's a crumby way to die. Honor has no bearing in that though.

wait people. Is it righ for them to kite though? No it isn't.As long as they kite I will use my KD dizzy.
Side note: I never ever use KD or dizzy against fellow melee.I keep to a fair man to man fight
Honor, Dishonor
Bah
Fight to Survive......Survive to Fight.
Dont duel unless you have accepted death as a possible result.
Duel to win. There is no Honor in death or defeat. Nor is there dishonor in using your hard earned skills to win.
All the carebears that say killing someone (be it in a duel or pvp) is done in an honorable way or a dishonorable way need to re evaluate your profession. Go make some furniture and leave the killing to the real warriors

Let the flames burn on this post heh
sorry but your supposed to be a warrior not some pansy. Way I see it the only dishonorable thing would be an exploit.
With that logic brother....a jedi should not use the force for it is way to powerful and unfair...if a jedi cant win without the force then.....well they are not jedi
think about what you are saying heh its silly
I am going to kill any oppoent anyway I can period. Maybe you should go grind some cloths or furniture...maybe you do not have the stomach for combat...
Fight with honor?
Sit down some time and read Miyamoto Musashi's "Book of Five Rings".
Be sure to read his history thoroughly as well. He fought 60 duels and killed quite a few of his opponents, most of them rumoured to have been killed with a wooden practice sword. All of this before he died in the cave he chose to live in while writing the book.
What has this to do with TKA, SWG and fighting with honor?
This man applied every bit of skill he had to make sure that he came out on top. He didn't stop to think "Hmm, I wonder if my opponent would be upset if I did this or that?" He fought using what he knew.
Do the same.
Not using your skills and special abilities given to us as a profession shows that you lack the spirit to do what it takes to survive. Many of your fellow TK's are telling you this. Do you think a Rifleman will feel sorrow or sympathy for you as he has you in his crosshairs from 64m out? Or the Commando armed with a flamethrower?
Show them what you have in you. Use your body, mind, and spirit to defeat your opponent. If they gave their all and you won, they'll remember you. If they won and you didn't give you're all, chances are, you won't be.
Also, a thing about romanticizing how one should fight: "In a fight between two people, the first thing to perish is one's ideals."
I said that.
Developers please edit out the word dishonerable.
I agree that if we have the skill, then use it. I pay my monthly fee and depending on play style, if you want to click on KD, so be it.
I think dishonorable in this case means "Wow, tka moves are awesome! All I have is this boring gun."
