I would like to see a droppable schematic that makes VK's with stun or blast damage, or a nice quest which you get the schem as reward.

I vaguely recall something in some Star Wars thing or another about Shock Boxing which incorporated gloves which caused electrical damage. THe harder you hit, the more electrical damage it caused.

I like the idea but the only problem is that some species(trando, which i am) cant wear gloves

yeah im a trando TKM, thats when i thought about having something for the legs instead of hands, maybe this could be strictly for trandos and no other species
like how the nightsister bicep thingy is only wearable by girls....

A set of knuckles with spikes could cause bleed DOT though and still do kinetic dam, I mean there are already uber loot items that allow this stuff in game why not a schematic for some?

Well someone asked why we should be able to do more than just kinetic damage.


Survey says #1 answer is "PVP" : }


If they were to delete Vk's then we would not have a high DPS and would not be uber or godlike?

If we were to have skills with stun or restraint damage we would have options even if they were low powered.


Think about it this way if a punch hits you in the ribs it would be Kinetic damage that gives you pain and maybe a broken rib? Now if you were to summon the force within you and channel it to your strike at someones forhead not to crush it but to stun him?

I saw someone loot 2 Legendary VK's the other day off a Elder 850 max damage 1 speed and 5 hams all around plus it had a unlimited mind Dot at 80% Pontency 120 str I think the price he said was 30mil lol I'd love one my self but I'm not paying 30 mil for anything.

i HIGHLY doubt that the dev's would even allow ANY 850 max damage weapon at 1 speed with an unlimited mind dot...if its true, well then, if i had 30 million, i would gladly part with it, that would make a tkm untouchable

Why the hell does everybody always ask for "Restraint" damage? This is not a kind of damage at all! It just tells u how likely Your opponent will resist a state changing attack (like blind/dizzy whatever).

How about this... instead of a new weapon, maybe something like "Melee Armor" or "Monk Armor" or something like that. It's not really armor at all. More like wearable weapons. I don't know if any of you remember in Everquest, but Monks had named armor. For example, Wu's Fighting Pants, or Wu's Fighting Shirt, etc. So, at it's most basic level, it would be specialBoots, Gloves, and Helmet. Because 90% of all our attacks come from those 3 regions. All designed with damage in mind.


I bring this up because people mention that we don't just hit with our hands. Not only that... if you'll notice with the VK, we dont just hit with our right hand.


In terms of armor, it would be very similar to Advanced Ubese. 55%+ kinetic resistance. In terms of damage, it depends what you wear. Any one piece would increase your DPS, but equipinga full set would activate another damage type.


Maybe the boots would also have a +10 Def Vs Knockdown... the Helmet +10 Def Vs Intimidate... the Gloves +10 Def Vs Stun


Of course it's possibly to literally have a full suit... Boots, Pants, Chest, L/R Bracer, L/R Bicep, Gloves, Helmet, maybe belt and sash.


It shouldnt look like real armor though. More flowy like a Martial Arts Uniform, or something. Maybe make it "spiritual" or something to justify the extra damage type and defenses.


VKs cannot be equiped if more than 2 pieces are equiped.


Either quested, or crafted using Master Weaponsmith AND Master Armorsmith parts (since it's armor that deals damage... kinda), or it's only crafted by Master Teras Kasi and Master Armorsmiths (meaning at Master TK you get the schematic for it inherently, like the Wookie Bowcaster). So only after master TKs can craft it, and Master Armorsmiths make it better. You get the idea.


All said and done your DPS would definately not be better than the VKs, but I am sure we would all appreciate something different and something else to play with.

I don't think that TKA should be able to do any other type of damage then kinetic.

Any weapons doing other damage then kinetic would end up making TKA a little bit toopowerful, as it is now the only damage type we can do is one of the main things that makes TKAs balanced.


If you want other types of damage, get another profession besides TKA they are martial artists and nothing else.


That benig said, I'm a TKM and i love it, I see no reason to ruin the profession by making it THE best profession in the game.

TKA is just fine the way it is.
