Here are some of my favorites
Some Warriors look fierce, but are mikd. Some seem timid, but are vicious. Look beyond appearances; position yourself for the advantage.

When I First Master out TerasKasi(Which was over a year ago) the guy who trained me "-Maabus-" said one thing to me "Use The Power Wisely"
Now when I train somebody in the art of Teraskasi I always say that:
USE THE POWER WISELY

5-stars for a great thread.. i've read lots of quotation pages out there, but somehow this threads quotations are all good to me.. maybe it's because it's all just a little more relevant since we're all here thinking about the same stuff, doing the same things..
after all the pages i've read, the one that to me works best for the forums is in my sig., especially relevant since i saw other nietzsche quotes in earlier replies. the more memorable (altered) quote of his is-
Battle not with monsters lest ye become a monster
And when you gaze into the Abyss, the Abyss gazes also into you
another i'm fond of for the rest of life is from Gandhi-
You must be the change you wish to see in the world.
(as a side note, yes i can be a nitpicker sometimes, the whole Yoda quote is-
Try not. Do or do not. There is no "try".
somehow it's kind of incomplete without the first part)

I also like this:
"Never argue with an idiot, an observer may not be able to tell the difference."
