Thread: Ultimate PvP template.
TERAS KASI/ CREATURE HANDLER if they run from u send a few rancors, grual mualers , or giant crystal snakes........now they better run much faster..............................................stay put and die like wookie...tkm remo skyrunner
for those of you who don't kno, the reason +def mod doesn't seem tostack when you gethitis becauseit does not reduce the amount of damage you take when hit, but rather reduces the chance of you getting hit. the +toughness mods for each class are what reduce damage taken. so if you're a tkm, and all of the sudden you pull out a sword, you will get hit a lot less than if you weren't a tkm, but you will take massive damage compared to tkm because you have no +1handed toughness. just fyi for those of you who thought def mods don't stack.
also to add to that, i'm not sure about this, but say you have +90 melee def, someone with +150 accuracy would have a 60% to hit you? i don't know how it works, and i just wanted some clarification.
. I love TKA but I wouldnt base aPvP template around it.
TK Master leaves you allot of points... and goes very well with allot of things. Its never a bad idea to know how to fight without a weapon...

im pretty sure thats how it works
1) TKM / Master Doctor / some scout.
PROS:You can buff yourself all the time. Buffing + powerboost is awesome. You can craft too when you really aren´t in the mood to fight.
CONS:People will kite you a lot since you have no ranged attack.
Thats the one im planing to user... Got master Doc working on TK... Don't forget one thing PvP is mainly a team work not a duel... if u want to make 1 on 1 PvP go like Bounty 0-0-4-0 and master pistoleer or seomthing like this hehe...
If you really want a TK for 1 on 1 PvP then go get a KD attack or youll cry lol
TKM, Master RifleMan, Medic 2-0-4-0, Scout 3-0-0-0
I keep the title "Sniper" up to remind them it is OK to follow this sniper into a building.
- Bleed and kite using corners, fences ect to stop line of sight.
- Bleedthen go into a building and wait for them to either follow you in or they will bleed to death waiting outside.
- Runners are even more fun. MindShot2, MindShot1, Headshot2 spamed
Normally I would be slow as a slug, but I got lucky and found a +23 group terrain negotiation skill tape and that helps out.
As for defense bonuses stacking, melee, knockdown all those generic bonuses do stack, the ones that do not stack are unarmed toughness, or polearm toughness things like those you must have your weapon equipped to recieve the bonus, that is why I unequip the flamethwrower after a special, you take a lot less damage (not taking in consideration the 2.5X melee penalty). You also have the option of not using the flamer if you want and just use HPBC's and rockets against targets that kite you. You will miss alot, but if you hit you will probably win, which is more than other classes can say when fighting against pistoleers, smugglers, BH's, and if they stay still and you knock them down, they are toast.. literally.

There is a thread on pistoleer which seems to have found the forumla for "to Hit" which includes +defense and +accuracy. Here is the link and a small cut from it: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=pistoleer&message.id=14370
The 'miss equation' seems to be:
Chance to Hit = 0.66 + (Accuracy Skill Mods - Ranged Defense Skill Mods + Weapon Range Mod - Target Posture Mod)/2 + (Shooter Posture Mod) + (Special Move Mod) + (Target State Mod)
where skill mods are expressed as a percent (+112 rifle accuracy = 1.12) and the total capped at 95% (and probably 5%, but no data on that). I'm not positive on the constant (it's somewhere between 0.32-0.35) and the average from the datais actually closer to 0.34, but I chose the 'nice' value nearest to the calculated. I'm not positive where the style mod applies, but since we can only calculate relative effects it really doesn't matter.
