how do i know? im a wookie does that help shed some light =P oh and ive killed everything from nuna's to dark jedi masters. real skill is using your utilities your enemies disadvantages, while staying away from your enemies strength, and using your str efficeitntly and effectivly.

yes tis true it can be done with armor....BUT im tleling you this from experience........a tkmWITH armor will survive WAY longer than a tkm without armor if both know who to play the class strategically

OK, just to clarify a little bit more about my post and to offer a rebuttal to some of the non-supportive replies.

1. I did not use armour for the Huurton missions ( though I have a set of sliced Composite and advanced Ubese )
2. I am a 0 2 3 0 Doctor so I always buffed myself
3. I used a Rock Beetle( I'm non-CH )to split the Huurton pairs ( someone replied with exactly the way to do it in a previous reply
4. I used a set of Vibro Knucklers that are 49-192 damage 2.2 speed ( sliced )

I also killed about 20 Untrained Wielders of the Darkside while I was doing this and also some Pickets and Bols when I came across them. I have solo killed Force Crystal Hunters ( no mean feat for a melee without ATST and CH pets since they have medium armour and 80% Kinetic resist ).

I learned the technique of splitting social mobs so that I could fight them 1 on 1.

I learned the positives and negatives of using Berserk, Intimidate, Warcry, the debuffs and the various attacks, e.g., Unarmed 2, Unarmed Head, Leg and Body hits to target pool-weak mobs, as well as the combo attacks.

I learned which mobs we're easier to kill with strong offense ( Huurton using knockdown and Unarmed 2 ) and when during the fight it is best to use Knockdown.

I also spent a few hours in The Warren where I managed to kill 5 Cyborgs at one time with no ones help. I also roughly mapped the dungeon and managed to complete it ( with others in final room ).

I learned through constant tweaking the best settings for my HAM and sub-stats so that I don't do more damage to myself than what I'm targetting.

I learned the positives and negatives of armour and how they would affect my performance and when to use it against specific mob types.

I have killed a Kimogilia solo without any CH pets, just using my TK skills, my rock beetle and my doctor abilities.

Prior to becoming a TK Master I had also mastered Ranger and Rifleman ( with another character ) and have PvP under my belt. Since making TKM I've done a bit of PvP and have been successful ( by that I mean I killed more than was killedor I escaped situations where death seemed imminent ). I learned not to fight out in the open or if there's no choice how to use the terrain to make it more difficult for ranged attackers.

So to the person who says I now need to learn how to become a Teras Kasi Master, I say to you that I have already learned. The difference is that IIearned it much faster. I learned much faster to maximise the use of my skills so that I can get experience very fast and kill the more difficult mobs in the game ( e.g. the kimo ). I learned much faster the mobs that offer a greater return on my invested time. I have learned everything you have learned but I did it much faster because I concentrated it into a very short but intense gaming experience over 4 days.

I do not spend every waking hour playing this game asI am a husband and father of 2 children. I wanted to get TKM fast so that I could concentrate on holocron acquisition and some PvP. SOE have set the stakes and the markers and so I am playing by their rules.

I made this post because many people look for this type of information. It was not bragging rights, nor even a recommendation on how to level your Teras Kasi.

So tell me, what more doI need to learn about being a Teras Kasi?

In regards to Raspi's question: So tell me, what more doI need to learn about being a Teras Kasi?

Well, if you are the type of person (and I suspect your are) that likes to get from point A to point B in the fastest way possible I'd say that you are a great success. Some of the other posters who have been critical of your methods seem more the type that enjoy the journey. I did notice that you didn't really mention much about knowing your role in a groupped situation--though you may have left that out by accident. If you aren't experienced in that arena, there is alot to learn. And to be honest: when you have run out of content to conquer by getting thru it as quickly as possible while doing the majority of it solo (just a guess) you might get a little bored and/or lonely. So to answer your question, which I think you posted in rage rather than actually wanting it answered, I would say that you still need to learn how to enjoy the game (stop and smell the roses if you will) and not just the conquests.

Just the humble opinion of a TKM who mastered a little to quickly BEFORE the class was fixed and AFTER the knockdown nerf.

Raspi, thanks for the awesome post. I tried out some huurton stalkers, and gained probably about 200k. Only two more skills to go =D

"So tell me, what more doI need to learn about being a Teras Kasi?"

How about learning how to get over yourself? So, you made TKM in 4 days. Great, here's your cookie... It's posts like yours that saw the TKM's nerfed from their original glory. Had you been familiar with the class from it's inception you would have realized that TK's have seen quite a few changes (some bad, some good)since their early beginnings. We were nigh invincible early on until KD was nerfed (and rightfully so) but the point is that what brought about this and other dramaticchanges were posts very similar to yours. In fact, I remember one particular thread about a TKM soloing Krayts by by timing KD and just wailing away. Not soon after, KD was adjusted. Statements taken from your own words like:

"I also killed about 20 Untrained Wielders of the Darkside while I was doing this and also some Pickets and Bols when I came across them. I have solo killed Force Crystal Hunters ( no mean feat for a melee without ATST and CH pets since they have medium armour and 80% Kinetic resist )."

"I also spent a few hours in The Warren where I managed to kill 5 Cyborgs at one time with no ones help. I also roughly mapped the dungeon and managed to complete it ( with others in final room )."

"I have killed a Kimogilia solo without any CH pets, just using my TK skills, my rock beetle and my doctor abilities"

Sound familiar? It should. Aside from patting yourself on the back, you're also inviting the TK Designer to take a closer look and re-evaluate the status of our class with statements like yours. This sort of scrutiny is ill-timedespecailly when TKM's are set to get a nice set of improvements in the upcoming future (a long time coming I might add but I digress). For some like myself who have stuck with this class since day one (I'm no noob, I hit TKM 3.5 weeks after launch, before VK's were evenavailable on Eclipse) we've seen the entire gamut ofchanges but we still stuck to our guns so to speak because we know and love what it is to be a TKM despite issues of "balancing".

I'm sure the TK Designer wouldn't hesitate tohave second thoughts about implementing the upcoming proposed changes for our benefit if more individuals like yourself starting posting similar threads about "hitting Master in 4 days" and "soloing Kimos" blah blah etc. etc. Food for thought no? That's my .02 yen, take it or leave it.

To offer some more responses.

Patina, I do enojoy smelling the roses, I just like smelling more roses per unit of time

Tabcef and jedifromjapan, people who respond with " ... posts like this get us nerfed ... ", your argument is totally specious. I have not done anything in my posts that cannot be duplicated by several other classes.

jedifromjapan, you had the luxury of levelling your TK when you could induce unlimited posture changes on a mob. Where is the skill in that? Do you think that effectively rendering any mobin the game powerless because of a single move is a good thing? Knockdown needed to be toned down. If I had unlimited knockdown ( with or without Vibro Knucklers ) I would have levelled in 3 days at far less risk.

I really hate these so-called class purists. The"I've been a <insert class> since day one ... blah blah blah". So the hell what? You have no special rights, priviledges or opinion because you did so. The fact that you levelled you TK when they were nigh-on impossible to kill lends even less weight to your arguments in my opinion.

If my exploits on the way to achieving Teras Kasi Master ( and I'm sure I am not the only one who did it this way by far ) is judged to be too powerful then adjustments should be made.

Btw you cannot have 0.02 Yen. Yen is the atomic currency of Japan so the lowest realizable quantity is 1 Yen.

Ahh, I do so love it when people constantly misconstrue and take out of context my meanings. FYI when I said:

"We were nigh invincible early on until KD was nerfed (and rightfully so)" what part did you not understand? I agree we were overpowerd and that the nerf was indeed called for. How you go on to say you could level in 3 days had you had the same luxury I had isutter BS. Sorry mate,I don't care how sharp or Rico Suave you think you are but saying you could have elvelled to TKM a mere 3 days afterlaunch is laughable at best (even before they initial changes). I know it, you know it, and so does everyone else.

But whatever, I merely posted my opinion in response to your initial comments. If you wanna take it personal and let me get under your skin, then hey... by all means hold that grudge if it makes you feel better. What I find even more amusing and comical is your "I watch anime therefore I can speak Japanese" attempt to use my own laguage in order to deride me. So you think i'm an idiot eh? Let's see... translate this little gaijin noobie (that's your cue btw to go brush up on that jisho you bought or have one of your otaku friends translate):

Honto ni omoshiroi desu ne Yappari gaijin ga yoku kangae jibun no koto ga ii demo sa honto ni wa zen zen chigaimasu yo Anata no nihongo wa chottohen moyokunatta ne Mo ii, sore wa muzukashi ja nai demo tabun omae ga wakaikodomo mo anata no atama ga warui desu ka Nansai desu kaYoshi sore wa ii itsudemo dokodemo watashtachi issho ni tatakau hai dozo Honto ni omae ga okashii demo kondo issho ni aitai soshte boku ga korosu omae Zettai okashii...

"Btw you cannot have 0.02 Yen. Yen is the atomic currency of Japan so the lowest realizable quantity is 1 Yen"

It's called wordplay dumbass. Ever heard the expression "my two cents"? *sigh* Why do I even bother trading barbs with yowai mo wakai gaikokijin...

So you have decended into childishness to make it personal, so to answer you:

I don't watch Anime, I lived in Japan for 4 years working as a programmer for Fujitsu in Fukushima prefecture. I am alsoIkkyu qualified not an average little Sankyu idiot like yourself.

Most people think their opinions are the correct one.

You cannot say my Japanese is strange or incorrect because you don't know me and have notwitnessed me speak/read any Japaneseand are basing it on a single statement which is grammatically, syntactically and semantically correct within vernacular Japanese for the area I lived in.

I am 34 years old for your information and there is nothing wrong with my brain nor indeed any other part of my anatomy. Though perhaps I do need looking at for wasting time on a puerile, intellectual mendicant like yourself.

And finally if you're going to use wordplay at least use it correctly. To help you along here are some examples for your edification:

"My $0.02"
"My 2 cents"
"My tuppence-worth"
"My 2 Yen"

Ahh, nicely done.Unfortunately, despite your background... your willingness to indulge in an insult inJapaneseright off the batshows you lack any proper sense of civility (something the Japanese highly prize as you should know). So I disagreed with you? Big deal. But seriously, why all the hostility? I'm all for throwing around big words and whatnot but since we've gone completely off-topic and descended into slinging schoolyard insults back and forth, let's just leave it at that, shall we? I'm not the one who is married and has two kids at home but would rather trade barbs back and forth with an anonymous stranger on some message board over an MMORPG. Even I know when enough is enough... Anyways, i've said my peace and obviously it's grating on your nerves that I disagree with you, so if you feel this little episode must continue then by all means flame away, I no longer have the desire to engage you. I'm going to bed. *yawns* Oyasuminasai.

*thinks to himself, "Hmm... he's older than me yet I am the mature one walking away realizing the futility of this dialogue, ironic isn't it?*
