Unless you see it in a post with a Developer or Correspondent as the author treat it as a rumor. Mankind did a wonderful job of compiling what we know from Developer posts (and Stratics Chats) to date that relates directly to TKs.

Your fears are the exact reason I applied to be a Sandbox tester and am extremely honored to be one.
I am one of the 5 rep's for our Prof that Ryutek picked months ago. This much I can say without hurting any NDA kind of stuff.
I was expecting that TK would get nerf'ed because for ages that was all our forum section was filled with, cries and screams to NERF us and our profession is too powerful, etc... Well, TK is my only combat profession so I know EXACTLY how "overpowered" we are. In my opinion we are not.
Everything that I have seen and heard (of which I am not able to comment on of course) seems to be good stuff. Other sandbox testers are saying the same. Realize this is going to be a long process which is barely beginning to take shape. We're talking months here before it gets near to Beta, and even longer for going live. I will say this, I know that for me my job is to test the changes and report to whoever with our findings. I know that the sandbox testers will be doing their best to "stick up for" their professions. Lord knows if the NERF bat starts swinging there will be discussion and compromises will of course be made.
CURB is still a floating target. Noone that knows anything can say anything, and those that know nothing are spreading a lot of rumors. Let's do our best to kick back, relax, and see where this long strange trip takes us.

Wow man, TKM is my only combat skills period, I'm also Master Doctor.... Solo'ing Krayt/Gorax/SBD unbuffed????? Tell me you are exageratting! I've been TKM/Master Doc over a year and have NEVER been able to solo any of those! Maybe with another combat prof... but the whole point is to balance TK not TK/Fencer/Pikeman templates

I'm talkingtanking not soloing there. Though I can do it as the only one taking damage, just helps when you have a doc who can keep an eye on you. Thats with a TKM - Master Brawler - Master Swords template, & of course the light comp which I can get in to unbuffed. Add power boost to that, with the creature always intimidated (DWB SBDs only seem to do standered unarmed atacks unless thats been changed since). 80% reduction from comp & 62% from TKM Master Brawler is alot of damage reduction when the creature is already intimidated. I think if I took more medic insted of SwordsI could tank fully solo (apart from the dizzy heals needed for Gorax).
But yeah it's tanking & not soloing, just to clear that up. I'm looking foward to seeing if I can manage it with TK - Smuggler - Pistols with someone healing me insted of the other template, when I get around to mastering on my new character.
I just hope I can't still do that after the CU/R/B. I'd expect to have to share agro fully with 3/4 other tanks to tank a Gorax buffed...

Yeah, for Tanking TK has always gotten the job done, and of course I agree adding TK to any template definately enhances your ability to "Chew Gum and Kick Ass"
Soloing SBD's in my experience (when I'm trying to get my butt out of the coal mines after the rest of the group died to DWB nasties...) has been pretty weak. Basically, I could pound on them for about 30 minutes while someone else does damage. Mainly my job is to drag aggro and keep them from chasing into the ranged guys. Pretty much, working as intended for me. But again, TK is my only real protection.
In PvP, I have been a bit more successful. It's not all about KD/Dizzy either anymore which I like. I think ours, like all other profs, are going to get a good polishing and I see it as "Our whole world is about to change". Although, it's sure gonna be tough waiting!
