Personally, I don't think that we need a new weapon. I have a different idea.

A special type of bracer. Everyone wants a new damage type? Here is how I would solve it.

It is not a weapon per say... It is more like an armor that everyone can wear. It would require both a WS and an AS to make, the weapon smith makes the weapon part (module), and the AS makes the housing (the bracer itself).

When a player equips this new weapon, no other weapon can be equipped at the same time. Instead of having special costs attached to it, it would have encumberance costs the same as armor. Now, this would add no extra damage to your attacks. It would, however:

1. Make your attacks a new damage type. I.E. Elec, stun, heat, etc. Your attacks would NOT be ap 1, but you would have the speed and power of the TK in the new damage types. Also, the bracers would not add any extra damage to your attacks, just the new damage type.

2. Do the same as a VK, without adding extra damage. The second model would make your attacks AP 1, but add no extra damage. The cost: The encumberance cost is higher than the bracer set witht eh different damage type. Would ONLY work for kinetic.

I say that it is a type or armor so that all characters, including transhodans, could use it. By adding ONLY the damage type and no ap, this would help to reduce the cries for nerf before it is even considered. Since you have you replace a piece of your armor to use it, you run the risk of getting hit in the bracers and taking full damage.

The icon would be like that for a pair of gloves, one item shows up as one on each arm. That way, a player can't equip one and get the armor on the other forearm.
