Thread: PowerBoost needs to be moved to TKM
what is our single best ability? i want tkms to answer, cause right now it sure ain't uh3.
question then, how many of you powerboost when fighting? why? how long would you last without it? Exactly.
And who said I was asking for a nerf? I was asking for powerboost to be movedto higher place, perhaps switch itwith FoW. or move itto master?
HAHA
I can Plvl my friends from any novice proff. to the novice lvl of an elite class under 2 hours.
For example, Novice commando and novice TKA was done in 2 hours, 7 min
So yeah, move powerboost ![]()

I wonder why CH is getting nerfed then.....
Because every Tom, Richard, and Harry was going up the training and taming tree to get the best pets. The two BEST trees in CH. Meditation tree DOES NOT equate to that. It aint even close. Yeah, power boost is nice but it aint needed. It is not a MUST HAVE.
Man, what the heck is wrong with the dabbler? After all is said and done I will be a dabbler in medic. The way some people piss and moan about stuff you would think they would not be happy unless you were a master in a profession or were not in that profession at all.
Single best ability? Hmmm, KD2 probably. Or just unarmedspeed/damage ![]()
I think powerboost is very good at its position in the tree. It gives the real TK some reason to pick the meditate line other than asthe last tree. And it is very handy when doing the TK climb.
For dabblers, the benefit is quite nice, but certainly not overpowering for the investment cost. Short, modest boosts are pretty easy to get in the game and there are much stronger boosts available through doctor buffs.

Master Doctor is a dabbler? Please, spare me rhetoric "dabblers are bad" comments.
Whether or not the Developers are smart is their own problem...these are called professions, not classes. Since I'm a Master Doc, I can't Master Both TKA and Heavy Swords...but my guy can do both -- why? Cause anyone can learn to fight with two weapons...that's why they're called jobs.
CH's nerfed? LoL. I'm sorry...I can't pity a class that can solo 18K missions, I just...can't bring myself to feel sorry for a class like that. Like Commando's complaining about the 2.5X damage modifier...I just...can't feel sorry for a class that routinely does thousands of points of damage.
If powerboost needs to be moved to Master...then Buffs need to be moved to Master Doc,poison to Master CM...you can use this talk for any skill in the game tho.
Let dabblers dabble. Meditation alone won't help anything. The true skills of TKA revolve around fighting, not kneeling.
Think I struck a nerve somewhere...
Docs who are 2/4/4/0 in a guild with a Master Doc, can have the Master Doc Experiment on Buff Ds, thereby reducing the med use to well below 90 -- while keeping with good advanced resources a base of 500-700. Experiment much? Shoot, I experimented a Buff D to Med use 65 somehow. Who said this game was bug free?
I am a Master Doctor and was a Master CM, and poisons get REALLY good at Master, but once again...if you know a Master CM who can crank'em out for ya and lower the skill use level...you can get good ones without Mastering. Once again, experiment. Then again...using Advanced Components in a poison B can give you high potency effectiveness ratings equal to a Poison C anymore...
By killing my own discussion? ehh...just text words on a vid screen, don't take'em so personally. What I stated was the skills themselves should be moved to Master level, right now you say they are...which they aren't. Just certain "level use requirements" have been.
Quite frankly anything that makes people leave Teras Kasi would make me happy tho -- you guys should hop on Eclipse...there's far too many TKA/Commando people. I love people being happy and all...but love diversity even more. That's why I give my props to the PAU guild..."Pikeman Are Us." They'll always get more respect than any other profession in my opinion...people brave enough and strong enough to Master the most Borked Profession.
/agree
powerboost is the TKA's best skill atm and does not deserve to be at the level 2 box, same with eyeshot for the bh's, but there all dabblers and i still think most of us are in it for master

If you are replying to me, then no. You used poor examples to prove a point you were trying to make and I simply pointed it out. I didn't state that I agreed or disagreed with your point, just your poor use of examples.
Docs who are 2/4/4/0 in a guild with a Master Doc, can have the Master Doc Experiment on Buff Ds, thereby reducing the med use to well below 90 -- while keeping with good advanced resources a base of 500-700.
Docs wouldn't need to go 2/4/4 to use buffs. The 2 in master wound treatment would only be to stop poisons (nice but has nothing to do with buffs) and to speed up time between buffs a bit (again nice, but has nothing to do with buff effectiveness). So if you are trying to make the argument that a doctor dabbler can use buffs, why not simply make the argument that a 0/4/4/0 doc can perform buffs fairly well given:
1) They have a master doc make their enhance packs for them.
2) Those enhance packs have their medical use requirement dropped to 90.
In that case I would agree. However, there are 2 points to consider:
1) Anyexperimentation points used in reducing medical use required is taking away from effectiveness (even if it is only 2 to 3 experimentation points - depending on components used ) it is less effective than it would otherwise be.
2) A 0/4/4/0 doc would only have 75 wound treatment instead of 100 (or 100 versus 125 with BE clothing) so besides requiring less effective buffs (med use reduced Enhanced Ds) they wouldalso get less effect from their buffs.
Added up, Master doc buffs would be at least 30%+ more effective than a 0/4/4/0 doc. I think this is pretty fair myself. You spend half the points in Doc you should be able to buff fairly well. Actually a bit more than half (34/63).
Experiment much?
All the time. Why do you ask?
Shoot, I experimented a Buff D to Med use 65 somehow. Who said this game was bug free?
Your Enhance D that has a med use of 65 was probably done prior to to publish in which med use was recalculated for Enhance packs. My Enhance Ds jumped for 76 to 92 with that publish.
I am a Master Doctor and was a Master CM, and poisons get REALLY good at Master, but once again...if you know a Master CM who can crank'em out for ya and lower the skill use level...you can get good ones without Mastering.
I was a MD/MCM (dropped MCM for TKM). Do you even know the requirments for a Poison C or how muchcombat medicine use a 4/0/0/4 CM has?Just 75. Reducing a 90+combat med use Poison C to 75 would probably take more experimentation points than a MCMhas.
However, with the fix toaRCs poisonsBs may actually beuseful now, but prior to themfixing that schematic I know that poison Bs were useless. In any case, with a limit of just 75 combat medic use for non MCMs, they won't be using Poisons Cs and they won't be getting the full benefit from poison Bs (even if they are useful now) as they will still be limited by a combat medicine effectiveness of only 75.
Once again, experiment. Then again...using Advanced Components in a poison B can give you high potency effectiveness ratings equal to a Poison C anymore...
By killing my own discussion? ehh...just text words on a vid screen, don't take'em so personally.
I'm not sure who is taking anything personally, I'm not. I'm just pointing out that you have used some poor examples. In both cases, dabblers in Doc or CM will not be as good at buffs or poisons as their master counterparts. I do think some people dabble in Doc for buffs, but I seriously doubt many at all dabble in CM for poisons. Of course, with aRCs schematic being fixed that may change - but I doubt it with the no incap change to poisons.
What I stated was the skills themselves should be moved to Master level, right now you say they are...which they aren't. Just certain "level use requirements" have been.
Actually, I think that is an awful idea. Why move enhance to master doc when you have Enhance A, B and Cs? Why move apply poison to master CM when you have Poison A and Bs? It doesn't make any sense. You need to allow lower level buffs and poisons to be used by those moving up through the profession - or for dabblers who are not intent on master the profession.
They don't master it, they don't get the full benefits. Seems fair to me. However, the med use requirements may need to be further adjusted to balance things if (and this is a big if) the devs feel that dabblers are hurting a profession or skill boxes moved or features of a skill moved. (wetherit is doctor buffs, CM poisons, TK powerboost, etc.
Quite frankly anything that makes people leave Teras Kasi would make me happy tho -- you guys should hop on Eclipse...there's far too many TKA/Commando people. I like diversity too. However, I also like having fun. In fact, as weird as it sounds, I play to have fun. It doesn't bother me what other people play. If it makes the game fun for them, then so be it.
I'd rather everyone be the same profession and have fun at the game, rather than nerf professions, lines, abilities, into uselessness just to enforce diversity.
I'll repeat, I'd only advocate for the meditate line being changed if the devs feel that too many people are dabbling in the ine and were considering nerfing the line. However, I have still yet to see a dev post that they are thinking of nerfing the meditate line due to dabblers.
Powerboost, while nice, isn't really needed by me. If they moved it to master, whatever. I can solo decent missions without powerboost. And if I'm in a group with a doc I'll pay for the good buffs.
Anyone want to bet the original poster is already a master? I love it when I see in different boards- this is too good we should move it now that it got ME to master.
Please, its not like the road to novice is sooo easy - then get how much more XP for powerboost in unarmed.

They have been. Enhance Ds have been moved from med use 75ish to 93ish. Hence, moved from 0230 doc to master doc. If you were a Doc you'd have known this.
,poison to Master CM...
Poisons always have been at Master CM. At least for Poison Cs which are the only ones worth using.Combat Med use in the 90srequires MasterCM.If you were a CM you'd have known this.
you can use this talk for any skill in the game tho.
True. But using examples that discredit your point aren't usually good examples. While an 0200 Doc can buff using Enhance As and Bs, they can't make them and they can't use the best buffs (re: only ones worth using imo - Ehance Ds ). Likewise you have to be a Master CM to use the only poison that are worth using ( let alone make them ) you have to be a Master.
Let dabblers dabble. Meditation alone won't help anything. The true skills of TKA revolve around fighting, not kneeling.
I'm not opposedmeditation being left alone, however, if SOE feels there are too many dabblers in this line ( still yet to be proven I think ) then I'd much rather the major benefits be moved to master rather than the line be nerfed.
