I'd say most races are pretty equal.. although my favorites are:

Human - highest mind secondary stat maxes

Zabrak - Equilibrium ROCKS

Races I'd suggest never to play (assuming for purely power, non-Role playing reasons) as a TKA are:

Wookie

Trandoshan

Lack of armor SUCKS. It goes for Trandoshans too, you might say no armor on feet or boots is fine and dandy.. until you're tanking a Force Crystal Hunter and get 1 shotted for 3k. Or 1 shotted by a Pistoleer spamming Stopping shot who just hit your hand or foot.

Lizards are good but I don't know if it makes that much difference at master if you migrate your stats. A big difference is that we can't wear boots and gloves. Not so bad PvE but hurts when PvP against a knowledgable ranged player. With idiots nothing makes a difference.

I like being a trando. Played every species for a bit, but trando seemed to stick somehow. That is how I chose, not because of profession.

actually, gloves and boots can't get hit in PvP exept for the general shot... no specials... their is no special that targets the feet or hands

for stats, you can pretty much go like everybody else.. max mind, every secondary, and balance action/health.. so you can wear full x3 comp and PB up to a nice 1500 mind/1200 HA lol..

good point well i like being squared off and human gets no bonases :-p but no - so u can figure out your stats and then give the beatdown YAY!!!

Race doesn't matter. Trust me. I agonized for days on which race to choose and ended up doing TKM with my main character who's a Twi'lek and I had zero problems whatsoever.

Trust me when I tell you that race doesn't matter.

The only profession in this game where race matters is weaponsmith and that's because rodians and the fishes get a +10 for experimentation.

For the record I think the lizards get the first box of unarmed as a racial bonus.

If you want my two cents go for the mon cals. They get the highest mind so that means the best powerboost and you just can't beat being able to say that you have fishy fists of fury.

That's a pretty lame analysis of /regen.

It adds 175 to constitution for 5 minutes, allowing a trando's health to regen much faster. It's a free, nice inate ability.

I play a trandoshan, and I enjoy it. Is it the best? I don't really think any race is the best. Trandoshans and Zabaraks probably have the best "edge" to the profession. Though just because your X race and Y profession. Doesn't mean you will win an encounter.

You're correct that only random shots will hit hands or feet. It's those 1k+ dmg random shots that get me most of the time. I also don't PvP, it's the PvNPC (singing clan, etc.)
