i see what he meant.
AFK grinding for a combat profession is even worse than the afk entertainers. Anyone who doesnt have the patience to put the time and effort into their profession to become a master doesnt deserve to be a master in the first place.
Currently, TKM is one of the best things to fight against jedi, and a TK can beat almost any jedi he/she comes across with a little skill and the right foods/buffs/etc.
It takes a jedi month upon month of grinding and work to get just to padawan. Some of them whine and complain about it the whole way, but if they get there, they had the willpower to stick with it, and they deserve their position. The "ebay" jedi deserve nothing, including any respect. If you didnt work for it, you shouldnt have it.
On the other hand, it takes a TKM a matter of days to master. Now, professions like fencer, pistoleer, etc. that can be mastered in 1-2 days dont usually whine about it. I mastered fencer in a week, after getting 040x it was only a matter of hours to finish.
Our profession has a lot of power. We can heal ourselves, recover from incap, get temporary buffs from powerboost, knockdown/dizzy, and beat the snot out of just about anything without ever spending more than 20k on a weapon, if we choose to use one at all. The only thing preventing us from obtaining that power is the difficult grind to novice tk. It took me about 2 days to get to novice from beginning brawler, and after that about 5 days to master at a casual pace.
You cant expect to get of this power our profession has without working hard for it. Yes, the grind was tough, those of us who did it without a macro know how hard it is. Just be glad you have buffs and super armor right now, get it mastered before the revamp if you have any hope of doing it quickly; but afk'ing an entire profession is ridiculous.

true...but there are those who refuse to do it on principle alone. the gap between unarmed4 and tkn is excruiatiing. but i (and many others) did it with out a macro. it makes mastering that much more worth while...
that being saidi would add a range attack to your macro (witha crappy cdef) to make the mobs come within melee range.
I really disagree with this, the grind from unarmed 4 to novice TKA is very easy to get with a ubese armor a buff and berserk on quenkers in 2 hours max, i dont see how this is 'excruiatiing'
I wish it was harder, i wish you had to pay attention so you would die if you played afk.

Imma talk to you as a n00b becuase i'm not sure if you know or dont kno what makes fellow artists tick in this fourm so....
One is macroing through the tka trees, this is very aggrivating to us because you should (as well as any other profession) take your time and acutally GRIND your profession out, not sit there and macro through it.
People who sit there and afk grind/macro grind throughtka is like purchasing a jedi...theres no honor in it. Grind your profession out, dont cut the edges
