k im tkm 2323 doc with a few boxes in brawler for pike and sword should i go:
a)tkm, master doc
b)tkm, masterpike with as much medic as i can get
c)tkm, master pike,master swordsman or
d) tkm, master swordsman and as much medic as i can get
I definaelty want tkm andI'm leaning a bit more towards pikethan swordsman mainly for dots and for dwb which I like to go to and is a hell of a lot easier with pike.
dots are good for pvp and pve definitely. i say template b) and d) are the best

quitch,
A little more info on what exactly you are trying to accomplish would help. From what you mention so far I would just say go with what seems fun to you

I'm not doing much PvP right now, but I have heard I might be able to solo elders without fencer defenses (although it would take forever even with them). I guess pike is good for the dots, area KD/Dizzys, and they look cool. So I am going to be doing this mostly for PvE... I guess it really doesn't matter that much. I guess I might do pikeman, maybe fencer if I start being more interested in PvP.

I'm going to try adding Master Brawler and perhaps Master Swordsman, dropping Master Pistoleer (seems useless) and getting Pharmacology IV in Medic to use stim d's (I believe) for 1k heals. Shooting for high-level PVE, while doing my FS quests and long road to Jedi. Only problem is, seems like having TKM and Master Swordsman is redundant. Swordsman does more damage with more damage types. TKM only does kinetic and can't really touch the PH for output with the VK's. We need another damage type or something, I guess. I just can't bring myself to let TKM go. I love the overall profession and think the mythology behind it is one of the best in the game.
Any thoughts?

Argh.... to go defensive or offensive?
I am planning to play in high-end PvE, wondering wether defensive or offensive is better....
If so, what is a good template?

The best I ever did in PvP was as a TKM/MSwordsman/Fencer def branches. (Besides the short time I had MBrawler before they nerfed Warcry2).
It was wonderful....Still a TKM but switch out the other elite profession fairly regularly. Right now its MRifleman, but PvP is not so hot. I don't mind dying too much though anymore, PvP is still fun no matter how you slice it. I am thinking of going back to swordsman or picking up MRanger. By changing out elite profs my interest remains in the game. If anyone has any suggestions, (besides pilot! :smileyvery-happy

Defensive vs. Offensive?
It really comes down to playstyle and whether you normally hunt with the same people.
That being said, I prefer more of an offensive template. Currently I am strictly TK for Combat, and enjoy it about as much as I did with previous templates, though for some content I have to group (which is a good thing believe it or not, I miss the days when you HAD to group to survive, but that is just my opinion). The most fun I had was with TKM and Master Swords, because of sheer damage output predominantly.

- Playstyle - Which do you prefer? Is there a particular weapon that you like the look or sound of and wish to pursue? This is the one where it comes down to which is more fun for you.
- Normal hunting Party - Choose skills that compliment those you hunt with. If you do not have a real tank in the group then stack defensively. If you solo hunt choose which way best works for you.

Chelan warcy 2 isntnerfeduseless (ty for the correction)who ever says that is wrong, you can use it to give yourself a 20 sec break to regain some mind, and or do what I do and warcy them (when you warcy them it seem s like all there defenses drop, or maybe its just because tka has good accuracy) you can drop right into your dizzy kd lunge stun or intimidate. But best of luck to you whatever pat h you do

Zidane pvp or pve? swords would be better for pve, but pistoleers defense stacking might come in handy in pvp. my personal thoughts

Hmm.... I've been asking around, and I've heard that for PvE, Rifleman/Swords might be better than TKA/Rifleman... Any thoughts?
