I've started a new character on farstar (usually play Chimaera). I made him Trandoshan for their natural abilities (+15 unarmed damage and +5 speed or +10?). I've never really felt TKM is effective in large scale pvp, as you tend to get kited by several rifleman/Pistoleers. Stun weapons are a real killer.
I'm going to make my template TKM/Fencer444x/ch4333 (The ch is just for fun, i'd get medic otherwise).
For pvp, from my little experienced i'd say:
1) Intimidate always.
2) Food is tricky, you can double stack vercupti and get 5k on all HAM for a short period (6-8 mins?) or use thak for anti-kd.. (helps a lot against jedi). An advantage of melee is, you don't need accuracy food really, tkm gets +210 at master I think. Whereas rifleman (you're average rifleman) has trouble hitting adef stacker without aircake (from experience).
3) Stun is very useful to lower defences
4) I think tk dizzy is more effective then kd/dizzy by itself (that could just be me).
5) Practice makes perfect. You never truly lose, you learn. Don't be afraid to lose.
Every template has obvious weaknesses... even the best defence stackers can't dodge poison... and they can't cure it. so in a 1 on 1 duel, a cm with a 1k per tick mind poison, will almost always win.
Oh, and have both Stun and Energy psg's. I think they average 47% dmg reduction, with around 2-3k condition). If you have a 47% psg then a 37% helmet, you'll receive a lot less dmg, or at least give yourself more time to spot their weaknesses.
