I like my Kat Knucklers. As far as the quest goes, it's a matter of strategy I guess. We did it with 1 MCH / MRifles, 1 MCH / MSmuggler, and 1 TKM, Swords, M Brawler. Took a little while, but we pulled it off. It was nice to get one of the new content badges without tagging along behind a guild Jedi. Don't have a nightblade yet, actually haven't seen one to be honest.

Are you sure? I've got a Nightblade with a 14% damage slice and it still doesn't do nearly as much damage as my Katarn Knuckles. Not even when it's pupped.It might be better down the rode, but I don't think it will be better then the Katarn VK. I don't think the Unarmed Damage mods are broken. They're just not supposed to work with Knucklers any more. Adding 370 damage (with +25 from BE clothing) to a Katarn Knuckler would be way too powerful.

correction:
the katarn is level 87, with 32K-36K health
does area attacks and incaps in about 5 hits if your unlucky
can be easily done with a jedi healer so long as you are both full template
surrounded by 5 level 82 nestlings, but they can be avoided
