Someone need to get in touch with Lucas Arts or Starwars.com and get someone to do an official writeup on who and what the role of the Teras Kasi are and how powerful they are supposed to be...a canon or official statement if you will>>>

These posts make me ill...

Teras Kasi are no more "designed to beat up crazy Jedi" then Monks are to kick the crap out of non-believers. I've repeated myself a hundred times and the link to the story behind Teras Kasi is posted on this forum about a hundred times.

1. Teras Kasi DO NOT wield ambient force. They can't move objects, wield force-smithed lightsabres, self heal, throw 'lightning', and above all are nowhere NEAR as powerful offensively as the Jedi.

2. Teras Kasi ARE a people that were nearly wiped out by a battle between the two sides of the force. They have not "vowed revenge" as some of the idiots here say. They have made a vow to watch all force wielders and ensure the gift is not abused. NOWHERE does it state that even a Master of Teras Kasi could actually defeat a Jedi Knight let alone a Master.

3. Jedi DO fear the Teras Kasi because the Teras have control their own Force energy.By this theycan enchance their own strengths (SWG via Powerboost), can use The Force in them to rekindle their consciousness (SWG via Force of Will), and above all RESIST havingThe Force used againstthem (SWG: nothing yet, as there are no Jedi. This IS something I would like to see implemented.). Reiterating that Jedi do not fear the fighting power of the Teras Kasi, they fear their resistance to The Force.

4. TKA does not = god player NOR a Jedi hunter. If I see a single any TKM killingJedi I'm going to personally slap you face into the backside of the nearest Graul Mauler (shouldn't be to hard considering everyone has 2, lol). Now go play as agunbunny if you wanna "pwn nUbs".

If I could go back in time, I would ask the devs to make master brawler a requirement for TK, but other than that I think the TK profession is fine the way it is, with the minor exception of a few abilities.

IMO, the Devs should work on buffing some classes (fix BEs, DEs, PIKES), and nerfing the heck out of eyeshot (not really, just make it use mind). Leave TKs alone for now and let us revel in our goodness.

Read the book: Shadows of the Empire. You will hear a story about a TK master, one who handed Vadar his ass, and was probably just as feared as the emperor, and just as powerfull.

TKs orginaly were created to be able to ( KILL) jedi who got out of hand, when no one else in the galaxy could, because they felt that jedi with all that power, needed to have a check, increase they decide to, i dunno, hold up the local bank? TK order studies jedi tactics, and learns their vulnerabilities as well as their own practices.

TK, and especialy a TKM are very power full. a TKM would kill most jedi, only perhaps not a master Jedi like yoda or the emperor. etc. Although in Shadows of the Empire the TKM in their was even feared to a degree by the emperor, and even vadar admitted defeat.

Which character are you talkin about? I recently read this novel and I don't recall this? If it is the main character you are referring to, he wasn't a TK that I recall them ever saying...but he was more than efficient in combat. But I remember it saying more than once he'd never dare challange Vader 1v1. If it was his assistant/assassin, she was a droid. They did however, look to hire a couple of Teras Kasi twin sisters to use as bounty hunters to find Luke Skywalker, although I don't recall hearing them mentioned again...

The way I see it, no profesion should be able to solo a jedi and defeat him without luck or a great deal of dificulty.

If some profesions are doing this (from what I hear ranged ones) then there is something wrong with the set up of the game. If a melee profesion cannot take out a jedi or DJ, neither should a ranged one. After all deflecting blasters is something jedi (at least masters) seem to do without much dficulty, specialy if it is only comming from one attacker. Not to mention that they can redirect the blast back to the original attacker.

In the other hand if someone is an expert in a meele profesion, it seem more logical to me at having a fighting chance aginst a jedi (a jedi is more of a melee class charachter). Of course a jedi will always have force skills making him a deadlier target or foe and giving him the upper hand in any combat.

I think that a jedi, wielding a lightsaber, should be extremely dificult to beat. Maybe2 masters of a combat profesion ranged or melee, should have a fighting chance and with a litle luck be able to beat1 jedi. If they are not master it should take at least five. Heck maybe it should be five masters.

I would agree with an elite elite tka profesion or that in order to be elite elite on would have to become a master brawler or a master of two melee clases.

Just my 2 cents.

the game "star wars:masters of tera kasi" states that tera kasi artist served the job to kick the crap out of a crazy jedi. but ingame a master tk isnt able to take a dark jedi knight. this is retarded. a master tk should be able to kill a dark jedi knight. it makes no sense because that is what tera kasi was created for, takin down jedi.

I think, if we were to be able to take on Jedi, it would only make sense that we should have to spend more points on our class. Master Brawler, or some other tree. Master Jedi takes all 250 pts. (Heck, technically Jedi initiate requires 250 pts.) I'd love to see the TKM as a path that makes you question whether you want to unlock the FS slot, but in all fairness, its too cheap right now to justify that sort of power. Bounty Hunter IMO deserves to be as tough as they are since they are out two fully mastered professions before they can even start down that path. I like the Elite elite idea for a TKGM, that way you are spending more points to get there, though I think it should be a whole new tree, not just time or 1million unarmed xp or some such to get there. They should get stuff that makes them Jedi-like, a terrain negotiation/burst run path, defensive path, an enhanced meditation/healing path, and a raw damage/speed path. There is plenty of time for SOE to keep building on that though.
