Not exactly... you may see combat spam in the window of 1-3k, but the actual damage dealt will be much much lower.

Taking the 1-3k/hit example (with a min of 1 second per attack as it is capped at)

Heavy Armor on a Krayt, AP3 (reduced to AP2 thanks to VK's AP1), and 80% Kinetic (I think)

1000-3000 -> 50% reduction = 500-1500
500-1500 -> 50% reduction = 250-750
250-750 -> 80% reduction = 50-150

Average Damage per hit = 100

Time to kill a 400,000 HAM krayt (taking into account only half of all damage goes to the health pool, less to the others, so need to effectively double that HAM) = 133min 20sec

Wouldn't take all that long at all, just 2hrs + sustained hitting without dying or running out of stim's or mind or your armor breaking or etc etc... *grin*
