Savage Quenkers now sit back and spit at you...so you can't just target the lair and spin attack. Try Hurtons, they still stand toe to toe with you and go down quick. Oh and the XP is higher, the payout better, and the Armorsmiths will love your wooly hides

Still Dantoonie for the Hurtons. Although with 5 to a liar, I did get incapped once with a matron & 2 regs attacking me at once. The regular hurton missions are lesser than the quenker missions, but the hurton matron missions are a definite step up. They don't death blow, though. Didn't do any missions yesterday, after the patch, but did do quenkers Monday with no problem.

Don't forget Berserk! Since you're not certed for a VK, your damage isn't good, but the speed is with a good speed-sliced VK. Berserk will increase your damage while still getting that speed boost.

Ok, ya'll go easy on me for asking this, but...

I know doctors give you the health and action buffs, but I get confused when it comes to the mind buff. Is it dancers AND instrumentalists that give you the mind buff? or is it only master entertainers, or what? Also, is that where you have to sit and listen/watch to them for X number of minutes to get the buff?

Thanks!

Unfortunately berserk does not work right now.
Dont know if it is intentional or not.

Started TKA grinding yesterday. Only to find the squankers to be beefed up like h*ll.

yes you watch entertainers for mind buffs but they have to "enable" it.. just watching an AFK entertainer wont help.

Best bet is to get some Muon Gold or Vasarian Brandy.. both give you decent bonuses to mind.. the Brandy is preferred though because it doesnt have a "downer" time..it lasts longer (about 30-40 mins) and you can take 2 hits.. giving you +800 to each mind stat where the Muon Gold is only +500 to each stat.. and will actually leave you -500 for a limited time after it wears off (it lasts about 10 mins usually)

Berserk doesn't work? Can you elaborate more on that? I mean, I used that through most of it. All I know, is it drops your defenses, but when they're blind, stunned, and intimidated, that's not too much of a problem. Probably is broke, but seemed to be working for me.

I did it pretty quick yesterday. The key seems to be in getting a good VibroKnuckler. Even though the damage for the VK is lowered due to certification, the damage and speed are greatly increased over standard unarmed hits.

And yes, the jump from Unarmed 4 to TK novice is like skipping 2nd to 8th grade in school.

i think what it needs is to be able to deal a little more damage at Unarmed IV to help you along the way.. dealing 130-200 damage on creatures with 4-10K ham takes a while.

I have some vibroknucklers sliced to 1.8 speed. I think the damage is something like 32-150. Currently I'm a little over halfway to Unarmed IV certification, and only doing about 68-75 damage per hit (obviously I'm not certified with VK). Where is your 130-200 damage figure coming from? When I do special attacks I do around 130-150+ per hit, but nothing near 200. Is there a substantial damage gain between Uarmed IV Uarmed III?

I'm doing about 130-200 damage with a 1.6 VK (cant remember the damage on the VK) .. the damage varies on the resistance of the animal.. i was using unarmedstun1 and unarmedattack1 .. i usually do 4 specials.. blind.. heal.. rinse and repeat..

i didnt notice a gain between III and IV.. but boy did i notice the gain with TK Novice.. i do about 600-1200 per special now (depending on the special) .. make a bucket loads of difference.. now i can go to Dantooine and take missions and make some cash..
